Shane Barnard
Shane & Shane is a Texas-based contemporary worship music band known for acoustic praise and worship music. The band consists of Shane Barnard (vocals, acoustic guitar) and Shane Everett (vocals). They are often joined by their drummer and manager, Joey Parish. Background Shane Barnard Barnard grew up in Lubbock, Texas, where he attended Texas Tech University and later Texas A&M University. It was there that he led worship at the popular Christian student gathering Breakaway, and where he met Everett. Barnard is also known for his unique style of strumming the acoustic guitar and his high vocal range. During his junior year as a student at Texas A&M University, Barnard began a recording career. ''Carry Away'' is the second studio album by the contemporary worship duo Shane & Shane. The album was released on April 22, 2003 by Inpop Records label, and the producers on the effort is Shane Barnard, Joel Cameron and Shane Everett. Music and lyrics Allmusic's Rovi told that "an easygoing folk-pop sound dominates, the boys still manage to rock it up a bit on songs like the propulsive title track." Bethany Dillon (born September 22, 1988), known since 2008 by her married name, Bethany Barnard, is a Contemporary Christian music artist. Her self-titled 2004 debut album was the highest selling female solo debut for that year, and attracted Gospel Music Association nominations for both Female Vocalist and New Artist of the Year. It was recorded by various musicians from that label's roster, including Was (Not Was), August Darnell, Material, Suicide, Cristina, and The Waitresses, all performing original seasonal songs.
