Shamsur Rahman (cricketer)
Mohammad Shamsur Rahman (born 5 June 1988) is a Bangladeshi cricketer who plays as a right-handed batsman and right arm medium pace bowler. He has represented Bangladesh at international level. He is also known by his nickname Shuvo. Early and domestic career Between 2004 and 2006, Shamsur Rahman represented the Bangladesh under-19 team in both Under-19 Tests and One-Day International matches. In 2006, he was a member of the Bangladesh squad at the 2006 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. Shamsur Rahman made his first-class debut in 2005 playing for the Bangladesh Cricket Board President's XI against the touring Zimbabwean team. He made his debut for Khulna Division in 2005/06 and moved on to Dhaka Division in 2006/07. Comilla (; bn, কুমিল্লা, Kumillā, ), officially spelled Cumilla, is the fifth largest city of Bangladesh and second largest in Chittagong division. Twenty20
Twenty20 (T20) is a shortened game format of cricket. At the professional level, it was introduced by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) in 2003 for the county cricket, inter-county competition. In a Twenty20 game, the two teams have a single innings each, which is restricted to a maximum of 20 over (cricket), overs. Together with first-class cricket, first-class and List A cricket, Twenty20 is one of the three current forms of cricket recognised by the International Cricket Council (ICC) as being at the highest international or domestic level. A typical Twenty20 game is completed in about two and a half hours, with each innings lasting around 70 minutes and an official 10-minute break between the innings. Khulna Tigers
Khulna Tigers ( bn, খুলনা টাইগার্স) are a franchise Twenty20 cricket team representing the Khulna division in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), a Twenty20 cricket tournament. The franchise was owned by Gemcon Sports and was founded in 2016 as a replacement for the Khulna Royal Bengals who had participated in the first two seasons of the BPL. The Titans use Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Sylhet International Cricket Stadium and Zohur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium for home games. During the 2016/17 season, the team was captained by Mahmudullah Riyad and was coached by Stuart Law. The 2018–19 Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League was an edition of the Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League, a List A cricket competition that was held in Bangladesh. It was the sixth edition of the tournament with List A status, although almost 35 seasons have been played before achieving the status. It started on 8 March, and concluded on 23 April 2019. Directly before the List A tournament started, the inaugural edition of the 2018–19 Dhaka Premier Division Twenty20 Cricket League took place, featuring the same twelve teams. Comilla Victorians ( bn, কুমিল্লা ভিক্টোরিয়ান্স) is a Bangladeshi professional men's cricket team which competes in the Bangladesh Premier League, a Twenty20 cricket league. The team is based in Cumilla City, Cumilla. Comilla Victorians are one of the most successful teams in the BPL, having been crowned champions three times. The team is currently owned by Comilla Legends Limited. On 16 November 2019, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced themselves as the sponsor of the team and it was renamed to Cumilla Warriors. The 2017–18 Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League was an edition of the Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League, a List A cricket competition that was held in Bangladesh. It was the fifth edition of the tournament with List A status, although almost 35 seasons had been played before achieving the status. It started on 5 February 2018 and finished on 5 April 2018.
