''Shallow Water'' is the debut album by Servant, and also served to launch the new label Tunesmith Records in 1979. The gatefold jacket opened to reveal a photo of the cover scene (people, furniture and all) being washed away in the tide. The album was originally issued in Canada on red vinyl, but later pressings were in standard black. In 2006, ''Shallow Water'' was reissued on CD by Retroactive Records. Shallow Water is a census-designated place (CDP) in Scott County, Kansas, United States. As of the 2020 census, the population was 89. History Its post office was established January 13, 1913, and closed October 31, 1957. Shallow Water is the northern terminus of the Garden City Western Railway. Demographics Education Shallow Water is a part of USD 466 Scott County. Shallow Water schools were closed through school unification. The Shallow Water High School mascot was Shallow Water Tigers. The Shallow Water Tigers won the Kansas State High School Boys class B Cross Country championship in 1960 and 1961. Shallow Water Equations
The shallow-water equations (SWE) are a set of hyperbolic partial differential equations (or parabolic if viscous shear is considered) that describe the flow below a pressure surface in a fluid (sometimes, but not necessarily, a free surface). The shallow-water equations in unidirectional form are also called Saint-Venant equations, after Adhémar Jean Claude Barré de Saint-Venant (see the related section below). The equations are derived from depth-integrating the Navier–Stokes equations, in the case where the horizontal length scale is much greater than the vertical length scale.
