Freemasons (band)
Freemasons are an English DJ duo from Brighton, East Sussex, England. The act consists of the producers Russell Small (who is also one half of the house production duo Phats & Small) and James Wiltshire (who also works with Phats & Small under the alias 'Jimmy Gomez'). Biography 2005–2007: Early career Their name is taken from the Brighton pub, Freemasons Tavern, Hove, which they frequently visit. The duo also record and remix under the similar-sounding "Freemaison" name, which is also the name of their record label that was founded in 2005. Freemasons have also produced tracks under the names of Alibi, Walken, Funk Fanatics and BN3 (which is part of their hometown of Hove's postal code). In 2005, the duo transformed Jackie Moore's 1979 #1 ''Billboard'' Hot Dance Club Play track "This Time Baby", and Tina Turner's 1999 hit "When the Heartache Is Over", into an international club hit as "Love on My Mind". Ashford & Simpson
Ashford & Simpson were an American husband-and-wife songwriting-production team and recording duo of Nickolas Ashford (May 4, 1941 – August 22, 2011) and Valerie Simpson (born August 26, 1946). Ashford was born in Fairfield, South Carolina, and Simpson in the Bronx, New York City. Afterwards, his family relocated to Ypsilanti, Michigan, where he became a member of Christ Temple Baptist Church. While there, he sang with a group called the Hammond Singers (named after the founding minister, James Hammond). Later, Nickolas attended and graduated from Willow Run High School in Ypsilanti, Michigan, before pursuing his professional career, where he would ultimately meet his wife, Valerie. They met at Harlem's White Rock Baptist Church in 1964. Eric Sheridan Prydz (, ; born 19 July 1976), also known by his many aliases including Pryda () and Cirez D (), is a Swedish DJ and music producer. He rose to fame with his 2004 hit single " Call on Me", and saw continued chart success with " Proper Education" in 2007, " Pjanoo" in 2008, and " Opus" in 2015. In 2016, he released his debut studio album, '' Opus''. In 2017, he won DJ of the Year at the Electronic Music Awards and was also nominated for Live Act of the Year. Pjanoo
"Pjanoo" () is a keyboard-based house track by the Swedish DJ and producer Eric Prydz. It received moderate airplay amongst British radio stations, being heavily used by BBC Radio 1 in advertisements for their " Radio 1 Big Weekend" and "Weekend in Ibiza" events. The single peaked at number six on the Swedish Singles Chart. "Pjanoo" found success outside Sweden, particularly in the United Kingdom, where it peaked at number two on the UK Singles Chart and topped the country's Dance chart for ten non-consecutive weeks. Background and release The song has been on promotional release since 17 March 2008 with Eric Prydz's own label, Pryda, with a limited number of 12" pressings available on special order. Tracey Elizabeth McSween, better known by her stage names Shèna and Shèna Winchester, is an English Disco and house singer, known for featuring on Michael Gray's song " The Weekend". Early years Tracey Elizabeth McSween was born into a musical family. Her father was a calypso singer in a band called The Volcanoes. She studied at the Royal Academy of Music with Joy Mammen, and graduated with honours with a Classical, Musical Theatre and Commercial Music Performer's Diploma and a Teacher's Certificate. Remee Sigvardt Jackman (né Mikkel Johan Imer Sigvardt; born Frederiksberg, 8 November 1974), better known as Remee, is a Danish producer, composer and songwriter. Career Remee has written more than 60 hits and has sold over 25 million records. He has co-written several songs with Thomas Troelsen. Early music career Remee was a rapper in the pop group Sound of Seduction and in Thomas Blachman's jazz and hip-hop project in the early and mid-1990s. Ghost is a Sweden, Swedish record producer, record producing and songwriter, songwriting team, composed of Ulf Lindström and Johan Ekhé, based in New York City. Amanda Leigh Wilson (born 13 April 1980) is an English singer. She is a member of house music act Freemasons. As part of the act she has scored two major UK hit singles, one of which went on to success in several European charts, and the US ''Billboard'' Hot Dance Club Songs. Christophe Le Friant (; born 10 May 1969), better known by his stage name Bob Sinclar (), is a French record producer, DJ and remixer. He is the owner of the record label Yellow Productions. Musical career A native of Paris, Le Friant began DJing in the 1980s under the name Chris the French Kiss. During this time he was more influenced by hip hop and jazz music and created music projects such as The Mighty Bop and Reminiscence Quartet, the latter with an ensemble of musicians and where Le Friant used the alias Desmond K. In 1998 Le Friant adopted name of Bob Sinclar after the titular character from the 1973 film ''Le Magnifique''.
