Shaitaan (2024 Film)
''Shaitaan'' () is a 2024 Indian Hindi-language supernatural horror film directed by Vikas Bahl and produced by Devgn Films, Jio Studios, and Panorama Studios. It stars Ajay Devgn, R. Madhavan, Jyothika, Janki Bodiwala, and Anngad Raaj. An adaptation of the 2023 Gujarati film '' Vash'' which also starred Bodiwala, ''Shaitaan'' revolves around a family which finds trouble when their daughter falls under the spell of black magic cast by a stranger, and they set out to stop the possession and uncover the stranger's motives. The film was officially announced in May 2023, and entirely shot within the next three months in Dehradun and London. This is Jyothika's comeback to Bollywood since her debut film ''Doli Saja Ke Rakhna'' (1998). Vikas Bahl
Vikas Bahl is an Indian filmmaker, best known for directing Chillar Party (2011), ''Queen (2013 film), Queen'' (2013), ''Super 30 (film), Super 30'' (2019), and ''Shaitaan (2024 film), Shaitaan'' (2024). Early life and education Bahl was born and brought up in Lajpat Nagar in Delhi, his father worked with the Indian Oil Corporation. After his schooling from Sardar Patel Vidyalaya and graduation from Ramjas College, Delhi, he moved to Mumbai to pursue an MBA degree from SVKM's NMIMS. Career Bahl started his career with advertising, working for several years in client servicing, before joining UTV Spotboy. () is a 1998 Indian Hindi-language romance film directed by Priyadarshan, with Akshaye Khanna and Jyothika in lead roles. The film is a remake of the 1997 Malayalam film '' Aniyathipraavu''. A. R.
