Shahira Fahmy
Shahira Fahmy (born 1974) is an Egyptian architect. She is the founder and principal of Shahira Fahmy Architects (SFA), established in 2005 in Cairo, Egypt. Fahmy won the Loeb Fellowship at the Harvard Graduate School of Design for 2015, and is a recipient of the Berkman fellowship of Berkman Center for Internet & Society for 2016 at Harvard Law School. Fahmy has also served as an adjunct assistant professor at Columbia Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation at Columbia University. In 2005, Fahmy won the Bibliotheca Alexandrina Young Architect Award (2005). Her company has won international competitions in Switzerland and London. 2017 Cannes Film Festival
The 70th Cannes Film Festival took place from 17 to 28 May 2017, in Cannes, France. Spanish film director and screenwriter Pedro Almodóvar was the President of the Jury for the festival and Italian actress Monica Bellucci hosted the opening and closing ceremonies. ''Ismael's Ghosts'', directed by French director Arnaud Desplechin, was the opening film for the festival. The festival celebrated its 70th edition. Hong Sang-soo
Hong Sang-soo (홍상수, born 25 October 1960) is a South Korean film director and screenwriter. Early life Hong's parents owned the film production company Cinetel Soul. Hong took the entrance exam and entered the theater department at Chung-Ang University in South Korea. The Bibliotheca Alexandrina (Latin for "Library of Alexandria"; arz, مكتبة الإسكندرية ', ) is a major library and cultural center on the shore of the Mediterranean Sea in Alexandria, Egypt. It is a commemoration of the Library of Alexandria, once one of the largest libraries worldwide, which was lost in antiquity. The idea of reviving the old library dates back to 1974 when a committee set up by Alexandria University selected a plot of land for its new library.
