Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical University (SMBBMU) () is a public university of medicine, nursing, pharmacy and allied health professions, allied health sciences. It was established on July 9, 2009. It is located in Larkana, Sindh, Pakistan. The university is named after Benazir Bhutto who was twice the Prime Minister of Pakistan. Professor Doctor Sikandar Ali Sheikh was its first vice-chancellor. Khalil-ur-Rehman Ramday
Khalil-ur-Rehman Ramday (Punjabi language, Punjabi, ) is a renowned Pakistani statesman, philanthropist, and former jurist who served as senior judge of the Supreme Court of Pakistan from 2002 to 2010. His lordship famously restored democracy to Pakistan with a historic judgement against military president Pervez Musharraf. Early life and education After receiving his early education in different schools of the Punjab, Ramday matriculated from Central Model School, Lahore, and joined Government College, Lahore from where he migrated to Gordon College (Pakistan), Gordon College, Rawalpindi, on account of his father's posting in the Federal Ministry of Law, Justice and Human Rights (Pakistan), Ministry of Law. Larkana District ( Sindhi: لاڙڪاڻو ضلعو; ) is a district of the Sindh province of Pakistan. Its largest city is Larkana, which sits on the banks of the Indus River. It is the home district of the politically influential Bhutto family. Other towns in the district include Ratodero, Dokri, Bakrani, and Naodero. Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University (SBBU) () is a public university located in the Sheringal region within the Upper Dir District of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. It was established in 2009 with a presidential order. The university was established by upgrading the sub-campus of the University of Malakand having Forestry department and Phytochemistry laboratories.
