Shaftesbury Barnet Harriers are a UK Athletics (sport), athletics club based in Hendon, north west London. Their home track is Barnet Copthall, Copthall Stadium. History Shaftesbury Barnet Harriers was founded in 1890 and amalgamated with Barnet Ladies in autumn 1986. The club qualified to enter the British Athletics League (BAL) in Division 4 in 1976, and in the space of 4 years achieved promotion to BAL Division 1 (now the Premiership). Frédéric Ebong-Salle, better known as Fred Salle (born 10 September 1964) is a male retired athlete who specialized in the long jump. Great Britain and England He represented Great Britain for most of his career, except for a period in the late 1980s and early 1990s when he represented Cameroon. Lee McConnell
Lee McConnell (born 9 October 1978) is a retired Scottish athlete, who competed in the 400 metres and 400 metres hurdles having started her career as a high jumper. She is a three-time Olympian who represented Great Britain in 2004, 2008 and 2012. With 12 medals from major championships, McConnell is the third most decorated Scottish track and field athlete of all-time (after Eilidh Doyle with 19 medals and Laura Muir with 13). She was voted Scottish Athlete of the Year in 2002, 2003 and 2007. Anthony William Whiteman (born 13 November 1971) is a male British former middle distance runner who competed in the 1996 Summer Olympics and in the 2000 Summer Olympics. Catherine Murphy (athlete)
Catherine Ann Murphy (born 21 September 1975) is a Welsh former athlete who competed mainly in the 200 metres and 400 metres. She finished fourth in the 4 × 400 metres relay at the 2004 Athens Olympics, fourth in the 400 metres at the 2003 World Indoor Championships, and won a bronze medal in the 4 × 400 metres relay at the 2005 European Indoor Championships. Natasha Danvers
Tasha De'Anka Danvers (born 19 September 1977) is a British Olympic bronze medallist, who finished in third place in the 400 metres hurdles at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. She was born in London to two athletes, Dorrett McKoy and Donald Danvers, who both moved to the United Kingdom from Jamaica as children. Nicholas Nieland (born 31 January 1972 in Truro, Cornwall) is a British javelin thrower. He was the British number three for many years. When his long-time domestic rival Steven Backley retired, Nieland rose to prominence to achieve a gold medal for England at the 2006 Commonwealth Games becoming number one in the UK. Ashia Hansen, (born 5 December 1971) is a retired British triple jumper.
