Shadrack Tlhaole
Shadrack Lapologang Tlhaole is a South African politician and a party member of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF). He is the provincial chairperson of the EFF and currently a Member of the Northern Cape Provincial Legislature for the party, after having taken office in November 2017. He formerly served as the provincial secretary of the party. Tlhaole was previously the provincial chair of the African National Congress Youth League (ANCYL). He left the ANC in 2016 and subsequently became a member of the EFF. Tlhaole became an MP for the EFF in February 2017 and served as one until his deployment to the legislature in October 2017. In November 2010, Tlhaole was named the '' Sunday Times''' "Mampara of the week". In October 2022, Tlhaole was elected provincial chairperson of the EFF. National Assembly Of South Africa
The National Assembly is the directly elected house of the Parliament of South Africa, located in Cape Town, Western Cape. It consists of four hundred members who are elected every five years using a party-list proportional representation system where half of the members are elected proportionally from nine provincial lists and the remaining half from national lists so as to restore proportionality. The National Assembly is presided over by a Speaker, assisted by a Deputy Speaker. The current Speaker is Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula who previously served as the Minister of Defence and Military Veterans. She was elected on 19 August 2021. The Northern Cape Provincial Legislature is the legislature of the Northern Cape province of South Africa. It is a unicameral body of 30 members elected every five years. The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) is a South African left-wing to far-left pan-Africanist and Marxist–Leninist political party. It was founded by expelled former African National Congress Youth League (ANCYL) President Julius Malema, and his allies, in 2013. Malema is President of the EFF, heading the Central Command Team which serves as the central structure of the party. It is currently the third-largest party in both houses of the South African Parliament. The African National Congress Youth League (ANCYL) is the youth wing of the African National Congress (ANC). As set out in its constitution, the ANC Youth League is led by a National Executive Committee (NEC) and a National Working Committee (NWC). Foundation The idea of the formation of the ANC youth league started in 1943, in Orlando, Soweto at Walter Sisulu's house by Anton Lembede, A.P. Mda, Jordan Ngubane, Nelson Mandela and Oliver Tambo. Its founders felt that ANC was dominated by conservative and older generation who cannot relate to the youth. Nevie Aubrey Baartman (born 4 October 1958) is a South African politician from the Northern Cape. He was the provincial leader of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) and an EFF representative in the Northern Cape Provincial Legislature.
