Shadow-X (also known as the Dark X-Men) is a supervillain group appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics Marvel Comics is a New York City–based comic book publishing, publisher, a property of the Walt Disney Company since December 31, 2009, and a subsidiary of Disney Publishing Worldwide since March 2023. Marvel was founded in 1939 by Martin G .... The characters only appeared in '' New Excalibur''. All of their costumes are the colors of black and red. They are not officially given a name until ''New Excalibur'' #19 where they are referred to as Shadow-X in the "Previously..." section and by Juggernaut on the final page of the issue. How this name came about is unexplained, and prior to this the team was called the Dark X-Men by fans, reviews, and even the Marvel preview descriptions. Excalibur (comics)
Excalibur is a superhero group appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. They are depicted as an offshoot of the X-Men, usually based in the United Kingdom. Conceived by writer Chris Claremont and artist/co-writer Alan Davis, they first appeared in ''Excalibur Special Edition'' #1 (1987), also known as ''Excalibur: The Sword is Drawn''. Stories involving this team have featured elements of both the X-Men and Captain Britain franchises, frequently involving cross- dimensional travel. Shadow King
The Shadow King (Amahl Farouk) is a supervillain appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics, primarily as an enemy of the X-Men. His nemesis is the X-Men's leader, Professor X, while he also figures into the backstory of the X-Man Storm (Marvel Comics), Storm. As originally introduced, Farouk was a mutant (Marvel Comics), human mutant from Egypt who used his vast telepathy, telepathic abilities for evil, taking the alias Shadow King. Later writers established Farouk as the modern incarnation of an ancient evil entity. The Shadow King has appeared in various adaptations of ''X-Men'' stories. Warren Kenneth Worthington III is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by writer Stan Lee and artist Jack Kirby, the character first appeared in ''The X-Men'' #1 (September 1963). Warren is a founding member of the X-Men, having used the moniker Angel. Later stories would reveal that prior to joining the team, he had acted as a vigilante under the moniker Avenging Angel. Sage, real name Teresia Karisik, is a character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. She has most often been associated with the X-Men and the Hellfire Club, whom she spied upon under the alias Tessa for Professor Charles Xavier.
