Shackleton (musician)
Sam Shackleton, better known by his stage name Shackleton, is an English electronic music, electronic producer and founder of the record labels Skull Disco and Woe to the Septic Heart!. History Sam Shackleton was born in Lancashire, England. He participated in various musical projects throughout the years, playing in punk rock, punk bands as a teenager and later performing as part of a dancehall duo with Earl Fontainelle (aka Vengeance Tenfold). He first began producing music on a computer in 2003. Around this time, Shackleton was becoming more familiar with Grime (music), grime and dubstep through regular visits with Laurie Osborne (aka Appleblim), Necta Selecta, and Engine Room to Dubstep#History, ''FWD>>'' club nights. Shackleton's first release was a track entitled "Stalker", released on Mordant Music in 2004. Dubstep is a genre of electronic dance music that originated in South London in the early 2000s. Anika (born Annika Henderson, 1987) is a British and German singer-songwriter, musician, political journalist and poet. Life and career Anika was born in Surrey, England and grew up speaking English and German. Before she began her singing career, Anika worked as a music promoter in Cardiff and political journalist and UK correspondent for ESNA European Higher Education News in Berlin. During this period, Anika was writing songs but found her lyrics were often drowned out by guitarists when they performed together in bands. After meeting producer Geoff Barrow, who was looking for a singer to work with his band Beak, they recorded an album in 12 days with no overdubs. UK Garage
UK garage, abbreviated as UKG, is a genre of electronic dance music which originated in England in the early to mid-1990s. The genre was most clearly inspired by garage house and jungle production methods, but also incorporates elements from dance-pop and R&B. Fabric (stylized as fabric) is a nightclub in Farringdon, London, England. Founded in 1999 on Charterhouse Street opposite Smithfield, London, Smithfield Market, the club was voted World Number 1 Club in ''DJ Magazine''s "Top 100 Clubs Poll" in 2007 and 2008 and ranked World Number 2 in 2009, 2010 and 2017.
