Shaandaar (1974 Film)
''Shaandaar'' () is a 1974 Indian Hindi-language drama film directed by Krishnan–Panju. The film stars Sanjeev Kumar, Sharmila Tagore, and Vinod Mehra. A remake of the 1971 Kannada film ''Kasturi Nivasa'', it focuses on Rajan, who incurs losses as Chander, a man he helped, prospers. The film was released on 22 September 1974. Plot Rajan, the owner of a matchbox factory called "Dove", lives in a huge house named Laxmi Bhavan. (Thus, he has a pet Dove) Rajan is a widower. Recognising that his honest employee Chander is in a similar position, he decides to help Chander financially. As Chander attends training in the U.S., Rajan suggests his secretary, Pratima, whom he has a crush on, look after Chander’s daughter Rani. Rani starts to believe Pratima to be her mother which lead to Pratima and Chander marrying, making Rajan disheartened as he wanted to marry her. Chander suggests changing the company's structure. ''Shandar'' () is a 1990 Indian Hindi-language film directed by Vinod Dewan. The film stars Mithun Chakraborty, Meenakshi Sheshadri, Mandakini, Juhi Chawla. Plot Shanker is from a low-income household. He falls in love with Rani, a woman from the middle class. Anita Chaurasia, the daughter of multi-millionaire industrialist and politician Rai Bahadur Arjun Chaurasia, is another admirer of Shanker. Shanker discovers the specifics of Arjun's wrongdoings and sets out to expose him. When Arjun learns of Shanker's plans, he employs a known mobster named Daaga to dispose of Shanker. ''Shaandaar'' () is a 2015 Indian Hindi-language romantic comedy film directed by Vikas Bahl and produced by Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane under Phantom Films and Dharma Productions. The film stars Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, alongside Pankaj Kapur, Sanjay Kapoor, and debutante Sanah Kapur in supporting roles. Set against the backdrop of a destination wedding in England, the narrative follows the whimsical romance between Jagjinder Joginder, a wedding planner, and Alia Arora, an adopted heiress, as they navigate eccentric families, personal traumas, and the absurdities of arranged marriage. Shandar
Shandar was a French record label specializing in avant-garde material that did seminal work during the 1970s releasing, among others, recordings by Albert Ayler, Karlheinz Stockhausen, Steve Reich, Sunny Murray, Philip Glass, Richard Horowitz, Charlemagne Palestine, La Monte Young, Alan Silva, Pandit Pran Nath, Terry Riley, Cecil Taylor and Sun Ra. The records often carry, besides the name Shandar, the logo ''Shanti''. The label was financed by Aimé and Marguerite Maeght, creators of the Maeght Foundation which organized modern art exhibitions and concerts. Consequently, much of the label's catalog consists of recordings of Maeght-sponsored concerts, as in the cases of Cecil Taylor's and Albert Ayler's '' Nuits de la Fondation Maeght''. Among the works in its catalog, one of the most unusual is La Monte Young's '' Dream House 78' 17"'', containing the music for one of Young's installations, the Dream House: both sides were almost 40 minutes long for a total duration of 78' 17", ...
