Shaama Sandooyeea
Shaama Sandooyea (born 7 January 1997) is a Mauritian badminton player, a climate activist and a marine biologist. Sandooyea competed at the 2014 African Youth Games, and won a silver and a bronze medal in the girls' doubles and singles respectively. She also helped the team claim the bronze medal. In March 2021, while in a research mission with Greenpeace, she was part of the first underwater protest of the global climate strike. Badminton
Badminton is a racquet sport played using racket (sports equipment), racquets to hit a shuttlecock across a net (device), net. Although it may be played with larger teams, the most common forms of the game are "singles" (with one player per side) and "doubles" (with two players per side). Badminton is often played as a casual outdoor activity in a yard or on a beach; formal games are played on a rectangular indoor court. Points are scored by striking the shuttlecock with the racquet and landing it within the opposing side's half of the court. Each side may only strike the shuttlecock once before it passes over the net. Deborah Ukeh
Uchechukwu Deborah ukeh (born 12 November 1996) is a Nigerian badminton player. In 2014, she competed at the African Youth Games, and won two gold medals in the girls' doubles and mixed team event. In 2016, she was the women's singles runner-up at the Ivory Coast International, and won the mixed doubles title partnered with Gideon Babalola. In 2017, she and Babalola reach the final round at the Ivory Coast International, but finished in second place. Ukeh also the runner-up at the Benin International tournament in the women's singles and doubles event.
