Seán McGrath
Seán McGrath (born 27 December 1991) is an Irish hurler who plays as a full forward for the Kilmacud Crokes senior team. McGrath has also lined out for Dublin in both the minor and under-21 grades and has enjoyed some success. He has won one Leinster medal as a member of the Dublin under-21 team. At club level McGrath is a two-time county club championship medalist with Kilmacud Crokes. Playing career Club McGrath plays his club hurling with Kilmacud Crokes. After coming to prominence in various juvenile grades, McGrath was a member of the Kilmacud minor hurling team in 2007. He won his first minor championship medal that year following a comprehensive 1–11 to 0–5 defeat of Na Fianna. Two years later McGrath secured a second championship medal in the minor grade as Kilmacud defeated St. Vincent's by 2–11 to 2–6. Cuala GAA club (or ''Cuala GAC'', ) is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Dalkey in the south of County Dublin, Ireland. It fields teams in Dublin GAA competitions. Cuala is primarily based in a sports and social centre in Dalkey, and also has playing facilities in Glenageary, Meadow Vale/Clonkeen Park, Shankill, Dublin, Shankill and Sallynoggin. The club name derives from Cualu or Cuala, an ancient kingdom of Ireland that stretched roughly from the River Liffey, Liffey to Arklow. Kilmacud Crokes Hurlers
Kilmacud () is a suburban area of Dublin in Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown, Ireland, at least partly contiguous with Stillorgan. It is in a civil parish of the same name. Name ''Kilmacud'' is an anglicisation of the Irish name , "church of aintMochuda". The identity of the dedicatee Mochuda is uncertain; is often a hypocoristic prefix. One possibility is Mo Chutu of Lismore. Another is the Welsh–Breton Malo or Mochud, supposedly a companion of Brendan the Navigator. Another suggestion is Cuthbert of Lindisfarne, whose cult could have been brought to Viking Dublin by Norse settlers from the Kingdom of Northumbria. This may be a conflation of Kilmacud with Kilmahuddrick, west of Clondalkin, which the annals of St. Mary's Abbey said is where Cuthbert was born. Dublin Senior Club Hurling Championship
The Dublin Senior Hurling Championship () is an annual hurling competition organised by the Dublin County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) since 1887 for the top hurling clubs in County Dublin, Ireland. Sixteen clubs compete. Initially the teams are divided into four groups of four with the group matches being played from April to May with a break to accommodate the All-Ireland Championship and resume during August or September. The group stage is followed by a knock-out phase which takes place during the months of October and November. Sponsored by Go-Ahead, it is therefore officially known as the Go-Ahead Dublin Senior Hurling Championship. Since the establishment of the Dublin Senior Hurling Championship in 1887, a total of 26 clubs have won the tournament.
