İsmet Sezgin
İsmet Sezgin (6 January 1928 – 7 December 2016) was a Turkish politician who served as the Deputy Prime Minister of Turkey and Minister of National Defense from 1997 to 1999, as the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly in 1995, as the Minister of the Interior from 1991 to 1993, as the Minister of Finance from 1979 to 1980 and as the Minister of Youth and Sports from 1969 to 1971. Between 1999 and 2002, he served as the Leader of the Democrat Turkey Party, but did not contest any elections. With a history in the Turkish political right, Sezgin had actively participated in the historical Democrat Party led by Adnan Menderes until the 1960 coup d'état. Entering Parliament as a Member of Parliament for Aydın in the 1961 general election, he served continuously as an MP until the 1980 coup d'état, after which he was re-elected in the 1991 general election. Fuat Sezgin
Fuat Sezgin (24 October 1924 – 30 June 2018) was a Turkish scholar and researcher who specialized in the history of Science in the medieval Islamic world. He was ''professor emeritus'' of the History of Natural Science at Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt, Germany and the founder and honorary director of the Institute of the History of the Arab Islamic Sciences there. He also created museums in Frankfurt and Istanbul with replicas of historical Arabic-Islamic scientific instruments, tools and maps. Ayşe Sezgin (born 23 January 1958) is a Turkish diplomat and former Ambassador of Turkey. Private life Ayşe Sezgin was born in Ankara, Turkey in 1958. She completed her high school education at Üsküdar American Academy in Istanbul, and was then educated at the Faculty of Administrative and Social Science in Hacettepe University, Ankara. Aydın Adnan Sezgin (born 13 July 1956) is a Turkish diplomat and a politician. He is one of the founders of the Good Party which was established in 2017. He is a member of the Turkish Parliament. Biography Sezgin was born in Aydın on 13 July 1956. He is a graduate of Tevfik Fikret High School. He received a degree in economy from Hacettepe University. During his studies at Hacettepe he was a member of the Justice Party and served in its youth branch in Ankara. He obtained his Ph.D. in economy and anthropology from Paris-Panthéon-Assas University. Sezgin Tanrıkulu (born May 27, 1963) is a Turkish human rights lawyer known for his defense of the rights of Kurdish people, Kurdish citizens. He is currently serving as an MP in the Turkish Grand Assembly with the Republican People's Party (CHP). Early life and education Tanrıkulu is from Diyarbakır, Turkey. He attended law school in Istanbul, graduating in 1984. When he returned to Diyarbakır, he found it under emergency rule by the Turkish government and its mayor Mehdi Zana, husband of politician Leyla Zana, charged with separatism.
