Edward James Sexsmith
Edward James Sexsmith (29 August 1865 – 5 April 1946) was a Canadian politician, farmer and minister. Sexsmith was a Progressive Party of Canada, Progressive party member of the House of Commons of Canada. He was born in Richmond Township, Lennox and Addington County, Canada West. He was elected to Parliament at the Lennox and Addington riding in the 1921 Canadian federal election, 1921 general election. After serving his only federal term, the 14th Canadian Parliament, he was defeated at his new riding of Prince Edward—Lennox (federal electoral district), Prince Edward—Lennox by John Hubbs of the Conservative Party of Canada (historical), Conservatives in the 1925 Canadian federal election, 1925 federal election. John Albert Sexsmith
John Albert Sexsmith (April 22, 1866 – February 6, 1943) was a farmer and political figure in Ontario, Canada. He represented Peterborough East in the House of Commons of Canada from 1908 to 1917 as a Conservative and from 1917 to 1921 as a Unionist Party member. He was born in Belmont Township, Canada West The Province of Canada (or the United Province of Canada or the United Canadas) was a British colony in British North America from 1841 to 1867. Its formation reflected recommendations made by John Lambton, 1st Earl of Durham, in the Report ..., the son of Thomas Sexsmith, and was educated there. Sexsmith married Bessie M. Buchanan in 1909. He was a farmer in Havelock. He served on the township council for Belmont from 1893 to 1897 and was reeve from 1899 to 1905. Ron Sexsmith
Ronald Eldon Sexsmith (born January 8, 1964) is a Canadian singer-songwriter from St. Catharines, Ontario. He was the songwriter of the year at the 2005 Juno Awards. He began releasing recordings of his own material in 1985 at age 21, and has since recorded seventeen albums. He was the subject of a 2010 documentary called '' Love Shines''. Early life Sexsmith grew up in St. Catharines and started his own band when he was 14 years old. Career Sexsmith was seventeen when he started playing at a bar, the Lion's Tavern, in his hometown. He gained a reputation as "The One-Man Jukebox" for his aptitude in playing requests. However, he gradually began to include original songs and more obscure music, which his audience did not favour. He decided to start writing songs after the birth of his first child in 1985. Toby Sexsmith
William Raymond "Toby" Sexsmith (August 23, 1885August 23, 1943) was a Canadian politician and ice hockey administrator. He was elected three times as a Progressive Conservative Party member of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba representing the Portage la Prairie riding from 1933 to 1943. He served as president of the Manitoba Amateur Hockey Association from 1921 to 1923, and sat on the association's executive committee for 25 years. He served as president of the Canadian Amateur Hockey Association (CAHA) from 1922 to 1924, and set a precedent that future CAHA presidents would also be given two-year terms. The Allan Cup was formally recognized as the senior ice hockey championship of Canada while Sexsmith was CAHA president, and eligibility rules were expanded to allow more teams to compete for the title. Tyson Sexsmith (born March 19, 1989) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey goaltender. Sexsmith was selected by the San Jose Sharks in the 3rd round (91st overall) of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft. During his major junior career with the Vancouver Giants, Sexsmith has won a President's Cup as Western Hockey League (WHL) champions in 2005–06 and a Memorial Cup in 2007. He is tied for the WHL's all-time shutout record holder with 26 in his four-year career, tied with Carter Hart. Sexsmith is a town in northern Alberta, Canada it is on Highway 2, north of Grande Prairie.
