Sevilla FC Femenino is a Spanish women's football team, representing Sevilla FC. It currently competes in . History Collaboration with CD Híspalis In 2004 Sevilla FC signed a collaboration with local Superliga Femenina team CD Híspalis. While remaining an independent club, Híspalis played for the next three seasons in Sevilla FC's training facilities using its name, kit and badge. The team improved significantly and in 2006 it was the runner-up of the Superliga, losing what would have been their first title to RCD Espanyol on the goal average. Sevilla's Auxiliadora Jiménez was the season's top scorer. Sevilla/Híspalis declined as fast as it emerged, and in 2008 it ended last in the table and relegated to the second tier. Ciudad Deportiva José Ramón Cisneros Palacios
The Ciudad Deportiva José Ramón Cisneros Palacios, is the training ground of the Primera Division club Sevilla FC. Located in Seville, it was opened in 1974. Overview Occupying an area of 250,000 m², it is named in memory of the president of the club during the 1960s José Ramón Cisneros Palacios who had proposed the idea of enlarging the club with new facilities. The training ground is located at the southeastern outskirts of Seville, on the road to Utrera. The first stage of the structure was launched in 1968 with an area of 125,000 m² (50% of the current area). It was completed in 1974. However, the Ciudad Deportiva has been entirely redeveloped over the time and the total area of the facilities was doubled. Oiartzun Kirol Elkartea is a Spanish football club from Oiartzun, Gipuzkoa, founded in 1975. It is best known for its women's section, established in 1981. History Oiartzun was one of the leading teams in the first years of organized women's football in Spain, winning the national championship in 1987 and 1988 and the national league in 1991. However, in 1993 the team was relegated for financial reasons to the second tier, which became four years later the top category as the División de Honor was disbanded. Meanwhile, Oiartzun reached the semifinals of the Copa de la Reina in 1996 and 1997. When RFEF launched the Superliga Femenina in 2001 Oiartzun was registered in second tier Primera Nacional. Oiartzun has played the promotion play-offs in four occasions but it was defeated by FC Barcelona in 2004, UD Collerense in 2009, SD Reocín in 2010 and Sevilla FC in 2012. The 2015–16 Segunda División Femenina de Fútbol will be the 2015–16 edition of Spain's women's football second league. Competition format The champion of each group and the best runner-up will qualify to the promotion play-offs. The 2012–13 Primera División season was the 25th edition of Spain's highest women's football league. FC Barcelona were the defending champions, having won their 1st title in the previous season. The season played from 2 September 2012, and end on 5 May 2013. A total of 16 teams contested the league, 14 of which already contested in the 2011–12 season. Sevilla and Levante Las Planas were promoted from the Segunda División last season. The championship was decided on the last matchday, when Athletic Club Bilbao met Barcelona. The 2009–10 Superliga season was the 22nd since its establishment. Rayo Vallecano were the defending champions, having won their title in the previous season. League expansion and format changes On 26 May 2009, the Royal Spanish Football Federation presented a project to improve the Superliga, based in an expansion of the league from 16 to 24 teams, by inviting professional men's teams to join the tournament. Eight teams agreed to join the league: two of them from La Liga (Sevilla and Valladolid), four from Segunda División (Las Palmas, Murcia, Gimnàstic and Eibar), one of Segunda División B (Jaén) and one from Tercera División (Cacereño). However, economical difficulties forced Cacereño and Murcia to withdraw before the start of the competition. This project was rejected by the majority of participant clubs and players of the league.
