Severi Kaukiainen
Severi Tino Kalevi Kaukiainen (born 11 May 1998) is a Finnish professional basketball player who plays as a point guard for Estonian club Kalev/Cramo in the Korvpalli Meistriliiga and Latvian–Estonian Basketball League. Career Born in Kotka, Kaukiainen started playing basketball in his home town local club Peli-Karhut and the youth sector of KTP Basket, and continued his senior career with the same club in 2015. During 2017–2021, he played for a fellow Korisliiga team Kouvot in neighbouring town Kouvola. In 2019, Kouvot won the silver medal as they finished 2nd in the league. Kaukianen won the Finnish championship title with Karhu Basket in 2022, and silver medal in 2023. At the end of the 2022–23 season, Kaukiainen was named the Korisliiga Most Valuable Player and Korisliiga Sixth Man of the Year at the same time. Point Guard
The point guard (PG), also called the one or the point, is one of the Basketball positions, five positions in a regulation basketball game. A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position and is usually the shortest player on the court. Point guards are expected to control the pace of the game. They effectively "run" the team's offense by controlling the ball and making sure that it gets to the right player at the right time. Generally, point guards are expected to be proficient in passing the ball and being able to get Assist (basketball), assists to teammates. The FIBA Europe Cup (FEC) is an annual professional club basketball competition organised by FIBA for eligible European clubs. It is FIBA Europe's second level competition.
