Seventh Void
Seventh Void was an American doom metal band composed of vocalist/guitarist Kenny Hickey and drummer Johnny Kelly (both formerly of Type O Negative), guitarist Matt Brown (formerly of Uranium 235 and A Pale Horse Named Death), as well as bassist Hank Hell (Inhuman). History Originally conceived in 2003 by Kenny and Johnny, the band's personnel was not solidified until 2005 and songwriting began in earnest. The band's name is lifted from a line in ''Dante's Inferno''. The band's debut album, '' Heaven Is Gone'', was released in April 2009 in North America on Vinnie Paul's record label Big Vin Records, and in November 2010 in Europe and the UK on Napalm Records. Matt Brown left the band in October 2011, for reasons unknown. On March 1, 2015, via Twitter, the band indicated that many songs had been written and the album was nearer to completion. Vinnie Paul
Vincent Paul Abbott (March 11, 1964 – June 22, 2018) was an American musician best known for being the drummer and co-founder of the heavy metal music, heavy metal band Pantera. He also co-founded Damageplan in 2003 with his younger brother, Dimebag Darrell, "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott, and was a member of Hellyeah for 12 years from 2006 until his death in 2018. Several rock media outlets have ranked Abbott as among the greatest metal drummers of all time. Early years Vincent Paul Abbott was born in Abilene, Texas, on March 11, 1964. His parents were Jerry Abbott, Jerry, a country music songwriter and producer, and Carolyn Abbott. Type O Negative
Type O Negative was an American gothic/doom metal band formed in Brooklyn, New York City in 1989 by Peter Steele (bass, lead vocals), Kenny Hickey (guitar, co-lead vocals), Josh Silver (keyboards, backing vocals), and Sal Abruscato (drums, percussion), who was later replaced by Johnny Kelly. Their lyrical emphasis on themes of romance, depression, and death resulted in the nickname "the Drab Four" (in homage to the Beatles' "Fab Four" moniker). The band went platinum with 1993's ''Bloody Kisses'', and gold with 1996's ''October Rust'', and gained a fanbase through seven studio albums, two best-of compilations, and concert DVDs. Steele died on April 14, 2010, at the age of 48; some sources report the cause of death as heart failure brought on by an aortic aneurysm, while others list sepsis caused by diverticulitis. Agnostic Front is an American hardcore punk band from New York City. Founded in 1980, the band is considered an important influence on the New York hardcore scene, as well as a pioneer of the crossover thrash genre. History First era (1980–1992) Formed in 1980 with Vincent "Vinnie Stigma" Capuccio (formerly of the Eliminators) on lead guitar, with Diego on bass, Rob Krekus (aka Robby Crypt Crash) on drums and John Watson on vocals. Despite being billed at their first concert as the Zoo Crew, Stigma introduced them as Agnostic Front, saying that the poster had been made prior to deciding on the name. ''Heaven Is Gone'' is the first studio album by American heavy metal band Seventh Void. It sold around 1,800 copies in the United States in its first week of release, peaking at number 21 on the ''Billboard'' Top Heatseekers chart. A music video was released for "Heaven Is Gone". Later, band friend Slitzy created a music video for "Last Walk in the Light" featuring live footage of the band. When the album was re-released through Napalm Records in 2010 it received a new cover artwork.
