Sevagan
''Sevagan'' ( ) is a 1992 Indian Tamil language, Tamil-language action film written, directed and produced by Arjun Sarja, Arjun in his directorial debut. The film stars him and Khushbu Sundar, Khushbu, with Nassar (actor), Nassar, Captain Raju and Charuhasan in supporting roles. It was released on 5 June 1992 and became a box office success. Plot Deputy superintendent of police, DSP Sanjay is transferred to a new city and locks horns with Sabapathy, a corrupt minister. Sabapathy is involved in Rum-running, liquor smuggling, Procuring (prostitution), procuring and Gaming law, illegal gambling. Sabapathy gets enraged after Sanjay destroys his business, so he kills Sanjay's wife Anjali. Sanjay's mentor Satyamoorthy, a politician, is also killed by Sabapathy. An enraged Sanjay finally kills Sabapathy and surrenders to the court. The court releases Sanjay as an act of self-defense and Sanjay returns to duty. Srinivasa Sarja (born 15 August 1962), better known by his stage name Action King Arjun, is an Indian actor, producer, and director who works predominantly in Tamil cinema. Raju Daniel (27 June 1950 – 17 September 2018), better known by his stage name Captain Raju, was an Indian actor and army officer. Vennira Aadai Moorthy (born 25 July 1936) is an Indian actor and comedian in Tamil cinema. He has starred in many Tamil films and television serials as a comedian and also played supporting roles. Vairamuthu Ramasamy (born 13 July 1953) is an Indian lyricist, poet, and novelist working in the Tamil film industry. He is a prominent figure in the Tamil literary world. A master's graduate from the Pachaiyappa's College in Chennai, he first worked as a translator, while also being a published poet. He entered the Tamil film industry in the year 1980, with the film '' Nizhalgal'', an Ilaiyaraaja musical, directed by Bharathiraja. During the course of his 40-year film career, he has written over 7,500 songs and poems which have won him seven National Awards, the most for any Indian lyricist.
