''Sesham'' is a 2002 Indian Malayalam-language drama film written and directed by T. K. Rajeev Kumar, starring Jayaram, Geethu Mohandas, Biju Menon and P. Balachandran. Jayaram's portrayal of the character Lonappan was praised by ''The Hindu''. Jayaram
Jayaram Subramaniam, (born 10 December 1965), is an Indian actor who works predominantly in Malayalam cinema, in addition to Tamil cinema, Tamil, Telugu cinema, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi, Sanskrit, and Bhojpuri language films. He is also a chenda percussionist, Impressionist (entertainment), mimicry artist, and occasional playback singer. Jayaram has acted in more than 200 films and received several awards, including the Padma Shri, two Kerala State Film Awards, one Tamil Nadu State Film Awards, and four Filmfare Awards South. Jayaram started as a mimicry artist at the Kalabhavan Institute during the 1980s. He made his acting debut in a leading role in Padmarajan's 1988 film ''Aparan (film), Aparan''. Latha Kurien Rajeev
Latha Kurien Rajeev is an Indian film producer, and wife of film maker T.K. Rajeev Kumar. She has produced three Malayalam movies under their banner 'A Blue Mermaid Picture Company'. Latha also is an art curator, lecturer and owner of La Gallery 360, an art gallery in Trivandrum. She has a Masters in Art History from Stella Maris College, Chennai. Kerala State Film Awards
The Kerala State Film Awards are the film awards for a motion picture made in Kerala. The awards started in 1969 by the Department of Cultural Affairs, Government of Kerala and since 1998 the awards have been bestowed by Kerala State Chalachitra Academy on behalf of the Department of Cultural Affairs. The awardees are decided by an independent jury formed by the academy and the Department of Cultural Affairs, Govt. of Kerala. The jury usually consists of eminent personalities from the film field. For the awards for literature on cinema a separate jury is formed. The academy annually invites films for the award and the jury analyses the films that are submitted before deciding the winners. Murali (Malayalam Actor)
Muraleedharan Pillai, popularly known as Murali (25 May 1954 – 6 August 2009), was an Indian film, stage and television actor and author. He mainly appeared in Malayalam films and a few Tamil films. He won the National Film Award for Best Actor for his portrayal of Appa Mestry, a communist freedom fighter and professional weaver, in the 2002 film '' Neythukaran''. Kerala State Film Award For Best Story
The Kerala State Film Award for Best Story is an honour, begun in 1969, presented annually at the Kerala State Film Award of India to a writer for the best story in a Malayalam film. Until 1997, the awards were managed directly by the Department of Cultural Affairs of the Government of Kerala. Since 1998, the awards have been constituted by the Kerala State Chalachitra Academy, an autonomous, non-profit institution functioning under the Department of Cultural Affairs. The awardees are decided by an independent jury constituted every year. They are announced by the Minister for Cultural Affairs and are presented by the Chief Minister. Rajeev Ravi
Rajeev Ravi is an Indian cinematographer, director, and producer from Kochi, Kerala. He's best known for his work in Hindi and Malayalam films. After graduating from Film and Television Institute of India, Pune in 1997, he started his career by assisting in the Malayalam film, '' Pranayavarnangal'' (1998) shot by Santosh Thundiyil. Gayatri Das (born 8 June 1981) known professionally as Geetu Mohandas is an Indian former actress and director known for her works in Malayalam cinema.
