Servet Tazegül
Servet Tazegül ( (born 26 September 1988) is a world, Olympic and European champion Turkish taekwondo practitioner of Azerbaijani origin competing in the featherweight division. He competed in the men's 68 kg class at the 2008 Summer Olympics held in Beijing, China and won the bronze medal. Tazegül qualified for the 2012 Summer Olympics and went on to beat Iran's Mohammad Bagheri Motamed in the final, with a score of 6–5, winning the gold medal. At the 2013 Mediterranean Games held in Mersin, Turkey, he won the bronze medal in the 68 kg event. Mediterranean Games
The Mediterranean Games is a multi-sport event organised by the International Committee of Mediterranean Games (CIJM). It is held every four years among athletes from countries bordering the Mediterranean Sea in Africa, Asia and Europe. World Taekwondo Grand Prix
The World Taekwondo Grand Prix is a taekwondo competition introduced by the World Taekwondo Federation in 2013 to provide a homogeneous system for qualification to the Olympic taekwondo tournament. It consists of four competitions per year in each Olympic weight category event. Olympic events occur at approximately half the weight classes as WTF-organised tournaments. Taekwondo competitions at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing were held from August 20 to August 23. The tournament was held at the Beijing Science and Technology University Gymnasium. There were four weight categories for both men and women. Each NOC can enter 2 men and 2 women, but only 1 athlete per weight category. 2011 World Taekwondo Olympic Qualification Tournament
The 2011 World Taekwondo Olympic Qualification Tournament for the London Olympic Games was held at the Sarhadchi Olympic Center in Baku, Azerbaijan from June 30 to July 3, 2011. Each country may enter maximum 2 male and 2 female divisions with only one in each division and the first three ranked athletes per weight division qualify their NOCs a place each for Olympic Games. Total twenty four athletes qualify their NOCs a place each for Olympic Games through WTF World Qualification Tournament.
