Serhii Haidai
Serhiy Volodymyrovych Haidai (; born 6 November 1975) is a Ukrainian entrepreneur and politician. He was the head of the Luhansk Regional Military–Civil Administration from 25 October 2019 to 15 March 2023. Since March 15, 2024, Haidai is the head of the State Administration of the Mukachevo District in Zakarpattia Oblast. Biography Haidai studied at the . He also graduated from the National Academy for Public Administration under the President of Ukraine. From 2005 to 2015, Haidai was the General Director of Dembud LLC. From 2008 to 2010, he worked as an Assistant Member of the Kyiv City Council. From 2014 to 2015, Haidai worked as an Adviser to the Chairman of the Obukhiv Raion State Administration. Battle Of Sievierodonetsk (2022)
The battle of Sievierodonetsk was a military engagement in the wider battle of Donbas of the eastern Ukraine campaign during the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The city of Sievierodonetsk acted as the administrative center of unoccupied Luhansk Oblast prior to the invasion. By May 2022, Sievierodonetsk and the neighbouring city of Lysychansk were the only notable parts of the oblast that remained under Ukrainian control. By 14 June 2022, Russian forces had gained control of most of the city and cut off most escape routes. On 24 June 2022, Ukrainian units were ordered to retreat from the city and the next day Russian and pro-Russian separatist forces fully captured Sievierodonetsk.
