Sergio Pirozzi
Sergio Pirozzi (born 26 January 1965) is an Italian football coach, former defender and politician. Football career After a minor career as a full-back, Pirozzi took on his first coaching role in 1994 in charge of then-Seconda Categoria club Amatrice, leading the small amateur club all the way up to Promozione during his four-year stay at the club. He successively took on other regional clubs of Lazio at Eccellenza and then Serie D level. In 2004, Pirozzi led Rieti to win the Serie D title and then guided the club in their successive 2005–06 Serie C2 campaign. In January 2007, he took over as the new head coach of Serie C2 club Viterbese, guiding them until the end of the season. On 2 November 2009, Pirozzi served as head coach of Messina in the Serie D for a single game against Acicatena, then resigning just three days after his appointment. San Benedetto del Tronto is a city and ''comune'' in Marche, Italy. Part of an urban area with 100,000 inhabitants, it is one of the most densely populated areas along the Adriatic Sea coast. It is the most populated city in Province of Ascoli Piceno, with 47,560 (October 2020). Eccellenza
The Eccellenza (, "excellence") is the fifth level (since 2014–15) of Italian football. It is a regional league, composed of 28 divisions divided geographically. All 20 regions are represented by at least one division except for Piedmont and Aosta Valley which share 2 divisions. Veneto, Tuscany, Sicily, Emilia-Romagna and Campania also have 2 divisions each, while the regions of Lombardy and Lazio have 3 divisions. 2023–24 Serie D
The 2023–24 Serie D is the seventy-fourth season of the top-level Italian non-professional football championship. It represents the fourth tier in the Italian football league system. Rules The season will provide a total nine promotions to Serie C (those being the winners of all nine groups). Teams placed between second and fifth for each group will play a so-called "playoff tournament", starting with two one-legged games played at the best-placed team's home venue: * 2nd-placed team vs 5th-placed team; * 3rd-placed team vs 4th-placed team. In case of a draw by the end of the game, two extra times will be played; in case of no winner after that, the best-placed team will advance to the final. UEFA, the governing body for football in Europe, mandates several coaching licences for professional managers, each valid for coaching at a certain level. Ascoli Calcio 1898 F.C., commonly referred to as Ascoli, is an Football in Italy, Italian football club based in Ascoli Piceno, Marche. The club was formed in 1898 and currently plays in Serie B. Ultras
Ultras are a type of association football fans who are renowned for their fanatical support. The term originated in Italy, but is used worldwide to describe predominantly organised fans of association football teams. The behavioural tendency of ultras groups includes their use of flares (primarily in tifo choreography), vocal support in large groups and the displaying of banners at football stadiums, all of which are designed to create an atmosphere which encourages their own team and intimidates the opposing players and their supporters. The frequent use of elaborate displays in stadiums is also common. The actions of ultras groups are occasionally extreme and they may be influenced by racism and political ideologies, including avowedly nationalist and anti-semitic ones. Amatrice
Amatrice (; Sabino: ) is a town and ''comune'' in the province of Rieti, in northern Lazio (central Italy), and the center of the food-agricultural area of Gran Sasso e Monti della Laga National Park. The town was devastated by a powerful earthquake on 24 August 2016.
