Sergio Llorente
Sergio Antonio Llorente Paz (born September 13, 1990) is a Spanish basketball player for Circus Brussels of the BNXT League. He plays in the point guard position. Career Son of the former Real Madrid player José Luis Llorente, he started his career in 2010 at LEB Plata team Lobe Huesca, where he achieved the promotion to LEB Oro. Despite this success, Llorente continued playing in LEB Plata until 2013, when he signed with Força Lleida. Three years later, in summer 2016, Llorente signed a temporary contract with Dominion Bilbao Basket, for helping the team during the preseason but thanks to his great performances, he agreed a one-year contract with the Basque squad. Llorente played for Oviedo between 2018 and 2020. During the 2019–20 season, he averaged 7.3 points, 2.5 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game. Point Guard
The point guard (PG), also called the one or the point, is one of the Basketball positions, five positions in a regulation basketball game. A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position and is usually the shortest player on the court. Point guards are expected to control the pace of the game. They effectively "run" the team's offense by controlling the ball and making sure that it gets to the right player at the right time. 2012–13 LEB Plata Season
The 2012–13 LEB Plata season is the 13th season of the LEB Plata, second league of the Liga Española de Baloncesto and third division of Spanish basketball. It is also known as Adecco Plata in its sponsored identity. Competition format Teams will play a regular season with a Round-robin tournament format. The regular season champion will promote directly to LEB Oro and the last qualified will be relegated to Liga EBA. Teams qualified from second to ninth will join the promotion playoffs. 2021–22 BNXT League
The 2021–22 BNXT League was the inaugural season of the BNXT League, the highest professional basketball league in Belgium and the Netherlands. It replaced the Dutch Basketball League and the Pro Basketball League. The season started with the BNXT Supercup on 19 September, while the regular season began on 24 September 2021. The season ended on 11 June 2022 with the final game of the Finals. ZZ Leiden won the inaugural BNXT championship. Heroes Den Bosch won the Dutch national championship while Filou Oostende won the Belgian national championship. Creation On 10 December 2020, it was announced that the Belgian Pro Basketball League and Dutch Basketball League would merge to form a new multinational league. Brussels Basketball is a professional basketball club based in Neder-Over-Heembeek (Brussels), Belgium. The team plays in the BNXT League. Home games are played at the Sports Complex Neder-Over-Heembeek. History The club was founded in 1957. In 1999 Excelsior merged with AERA Castor and renamed itself AERA Excelsior Brussel VZW. After 7 years in the 3e Nationale, the Belgian third division, Excelsior promoted to the 2e Nationale in 2009.
