Until 1782, Kurgan bore the name ''Tsaryovo Gorodishche''. History An urban settlement was established here between 1659 and 1662 as Tsaryovo Gorodishche (, meaning ''Imperial Citadel'') by Timofey Nevezhin, a farmer from Tyumen. In the ensuing years it was developed as a fortress town. It served as a frontier post and its fortified position enabled it to defend other Russian settlements from nomad attacks. Nevertheless, it was itself not always able to withstand such attacks, and was sometimes plundered and burnt down. The city was granted Town privileges, city privileges by Catherine the Great, the Empress Catherine the Great in 1782, which is when it acquired its present name and became the seat of an uyezd. People's Artists Of The RSFSR
People's, branded as ''People's ViennaLine'' until May 2018, and legally ''Altenrhein Luftfahrt GmbH'', is an Austro-Swiss airline headquartered in Vienna, Austria. It operates scheduled and charter passenger flights mainly from its base at St. Gallen-Altenrhein Airport in Switzerland. History Founded as People's Viennaline in 2010, the first revenue flight of the company took place on 27 March 2011. For several years, People's only operated a single scheduled route between its St. Gallen and Vienna. However, the route network has since been expanded with some seasonal and charter services. In November 2016, People's inaugurated the world's shortest international jet route (and, after St. Maarten-Anguilla, second shortest international route overall). The flight from St. Gallen-Altenrhein Airport, Switzerland, to Friedrichshafen Airport, Germany, took only eight minutes of flight over Lake Constance and could have been booked individually. The airline faced severe criticism f ... [...More Info...]       [...Related Items...]     OR:     [Wikipedia]   [Google]   [Baidu]   |

People From Kurgan, Kurgan Oblast
The term "the people" refers to the public or common mass of people of a polity. As such it is a concept of human rights law, international law as well as constitutional law, particularly used for claims of popular sovereignty. In contrast, a people is any plurality of persons considered as a whole. Used in politics and law, the term "a people" refers to the collective or community of an ethnic group or nation. Concepts Legal Chapter One, Article One of the Charter of the United Nations states that "peoples" have the right to self-determination. Though the mere status as peoples and the right to self-determination, as for example in the case of Indigenous peoples (''peoples'', as in all groups of indigenous people, not merely all indigenous persons as in ''indigenous people''), does not automatically provide for independent sovereignty and therefore secession. Indeed, judge Ivor Jennings identified the inherent problems in the right of "peoples" to self-determination, as i ... Once Lied
''Once Lied'' () is a 1987 Soviet romantic drama film directed by Vladimir Bortko. Plot The film tells about the complex emotional experiences of the Soviet conformist artist Alexander Kryukov. He was once a participant in the banned Bulldozer Exhibition, and after its defeat he finally “reforged”, becoming an official socialist realist, painting ceremonial portraits of production leaders commissioned by the authorities. The advent of Perestroika awakened his former oppositional thoughts. At the same time, stagnation in creativity, caused by nihilism, laziness of spirit and the patronage of his boss, leads Kryukov to a “midlife crisis.” Bitter sobering by reality ultimately leads him to repentance and reassessment of life.
