Tangamandapio
Santiago Tangamandapio, known as Tangamandapio, is a municipality in the Mexican state of Michoacán. It is located 165 km from the state capital of Morelia. The geographic coordinates are: 19° 57' North latitude and 102° 26' West longitude. Tangamandapio Municipality also includes the community of Tarécuato. Popular culture The municipality gained notoriety due to the Mexican television series ''El Chavo del Ocho'' (1973–80), in which the character Jaimito, el Cartero (portrayed by Raúl Padilla) cites Tangamandapio as his birthplace. Michoacán, formally Michoacán de Ocampo, officially the Free and Sovereign State of Michoacán de Ocampo, is one of the 31 states which, together with Mexico City, compose the Political divisions of Mexico, Federal Entities of Mexico. The Party of the Democratic Revolution (, , PRD) is a state-level social democracy, social democratic political party in Mexico (previously national, until 2024). The PRD originated from the Democratic Current, a political faction formed in 1986 from the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI). The PRD was formed after the contested 1988 Mexican general election, general election in 1988, which the PRD's immediate predecessor, the National Democratic Front (Mexico), National Democratic Front, believed was rigged by the PRI.
