Serafino Sprovieri
Serafino Sprovieri (18 May 1930 – 3 January 2018) was a Roman Catholic archbishop. Sprovieri was ordained to the priesthood in 1953. He was an auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Catanzaro, Italy from 1977 to 1980. He was then appointed Archbishop of Rossano-Cariati, where he served from 1980 to 1991. Auxiliary Bishop
An auxiliary bishop is a bishop assigned to assist the diocesan bishop in meeting the pastoral and administrative needs of the diocese. Auxiliary bishops can also be titular bishops of sees that no longer exist as territorial jurisdictions. Antonio Cantisani (2 November 1926 – 1 July 2021) was an Catholic Church in Italy, Italian Catholic prelate who served as Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Catanzaro-Squillace, Archbishop of Catanzaro from 1980 to 2003. He was previously Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Rossano-Cariati, Archbishop of Rossano-Cariati from 1971 to 1980. He died in Catanzaro on 1 July 2021 at the age of 94.
