Sequencer (Covenant Album)
''Sequencer'', released in May 1996, is the second album by the Swedish musical group Covenant. In March 1997, a second edition by the name ''Sequencer: Beta'' was released, containing an additional track. In the US, the album was released in 1997 on the 21st Circuitry label, and again in July 1999 on Metropolis Records. Covenant (band)
Covenant is a Swedish electronic music, electronic band formed in Helsingborg Municipality, Helsingborg in 1986. The band is currently composed of Eskil Simonsson and Joakim Montelius in the studio, while live shows consist of Simonsson along with touring members Chad Hauger, Daniel Jonasson, Andreas Catjar and Daniel Myer of Haujobb. Their music comprises a mixture of synthpop and electronic body music. They have been releasing music since the early 1990s. Electronic body music (EBM) is a genre of electronic music that combines elements of industrial music and synth-punk with elements of dance music. It developed in the early 1980s in Western Europe, as an outgrowth of both the punk and the industrial music cultures. It combines sequenced repetitive basslines, programmed disco rhythms, and mostly undistorted vocals and command-like shouts with confrontational or provocative themes. ''Europa'' is Covenant's third album. It was released on May 26, 1998, by 21st Circuitry. Tracks such as "Leviathan" and "Go Film" remain popular favourites and are played often by the band. WestCom (full name: WestCom Neue Medien Tonträger- Produktions- und Vertriebs GmbH) was a German recording company that operated the label Off Beat, Visage Records and others. Company history Founded around 1993. In addition to WestCom, its owner also operates NovaTekk and Euromedia. Headquartered in Gelsenkirchen, Germany.
