''Senathipathi'' () is a 1996 Tamil language drama film directed by M. Rathnakumar, and also the script writer for films like ''Kizhakku Cheemayile'' (1993) and '' Karuthamma'' (1994). The film stars Sathyaraj in dual roles, along with Soundarya and Sukanya. The film, produced by Malar Balu and K. Dhandapani, had musical score by Deva and was released on 10 November 1996. It was a commercial success. Ponnambalam (born 11 November 1963) is an Indian actor and stuntman who has predominantly appeared in Tamil language films. Subramaniyan Karuppaiya (born 25 May 1939), known by his stage name Goundamani, is an Indian actor and comedian who works in Tamil cinema. He is known for his comic duo partnership in Tamil films with fellow actor Senthil. The pair dominated the Tamil industry as comedians in the 1980s and 90s.
