''Senasuru Maruwa'' ( si, සෙනසුරු මාරුව, italic=yes) is a 2012 Sri Lankan Sinhala action drama film directed by Udayakantha Warnasuriya and co-produced by Udayakantha Warnasuriya, Ranjith Jayasooriya and Pravin Jayarathne. It stars Channa Perera and Sheshadri Priyasad in lead roles along with Buddhika Jayarathna and Lucky Dias. Music composed by Dillon Lamb. It is the 1167th Sri Lankan film in the Sinhala cinema. Tissa Abeysekara
Deshanabu Tissa Ananda Abeysekara (7 May 1939 – 18 April 2009 as තිස්ස අබේසේකර) was a Sri Lankan filmmaker, actor, writer, director, screen playwright and political activist. He is better known as a script writer for the cinema as well as a film director. In 1996, his book ''Bringing Tony Home'' won the prestigious Gratiaen Prize for the new creative writing in English. He was the chief coordinator of FOSWAL in Sri Lanka and honoured awardee of SAARC Literary Award. Deepanath Channa Perera (born 16 August 1965 as චන්න පෙරේරා inhala, is an actor in Sri Lankan cinema and television as well as a filmmaker and screenplay writer. Personal life Channa Perera was born on 16 August 1965 as the eldest of four sons. His father Piyasena Perera was a Director of Education who was in-charge of special education in Sri Lanka. Sri Lankan cinema encompasses the Sri Lankan film industry. It is a fledgling industry that has struggled to find a footing since its inauguration in 1947 with '' Kadawunu Poronduwa'' produced by S. M. Nayagam of Chitra Kala Movietone. Sri Lankan films are usually made in Sinhala and Tamil languages, the dominant languages of the country.
