Semangka Bay
Semangka Bay ( id, Teluk Semangka) is a large bay located on the southern tip of Sumatra Island. At the southern tip of Sumatra there are two large bays, Teluk Semangka is located in the western part. Sumatra Island
Sumatra is one of the Sunda Islands of western Indonesia. It is the largest island that is fully within Indonesian territory, as well as the sixth-largest island in the world at 473,481 km2 (182,812 mi.2), not including adjacent islands such as the Simeulue, Nias, Mentawai, Enggano, Riau Islands, Bangka Belitung and Krakatoa archipelago. Tanggamus Regency
Tanggamus Regency is a regency (''kabupaten'') of Lampung Province, Sumatra, Indonesia. It has an area of 4,654.96 km² and had a population of 534,595 at the 2010 Census and 640,275 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2021 was 645,807. The regency seat is the town of Kota Agung Pusat. The regency was created on 21 March 1997, but districts in its eastern part were split away in 2008 to form a new Pringsewu Regency. It lies in the southwest of the province, and surrounds Semangka Bay (''Teluk Semangka'') on its west, north and east coasts. A bay is a recessed, coastal body of water that directly connects to a larger main body of water, such as an ocean, a lake, or another bay. A large bay is usually called a gulf, sea, sound, or bight. A cove is a small, circular bay with a narrow entrance. A fjord is an elongated bay formed by glacial action.
