Selvaggio Blu (Sardinia)
The Selvaggio Blu (Wild Blue) is a trekking route in the territory of the district of Baunei (Sardinia). It was conceived in 1987 by Mario Verin, (photographer and alpinist) and Peppino Cicalò (architect), President of the Nuoro section of the Italian Alpine Club. The itinerary extends for over 40 kilometers (approximately 25 miles) from the touristic port of Santa Maria Navarrese (Baunei) to the beach of Cala Sisine (Baunei). It takes on average 4 days to complete. The Selvaggio Blu is considered one of the last wild trekking routes of the Mediterranean because, for the major part of the itinerary, it can only be accessed by boat or by following the path along the coast of the Gulf of Orosei. Verin and Cicalò used the name 'Selvaggio Blu' to reflect the main characteristics of the journey: "Selvaggio" to reflect the wildness and pureness of the experience, and "Blu" because the trek goes along the coast, where the color of the sea and the sky is predominant. Climate Change

The Global Positioning System (GPS), originally Navstar GPS, is a satellite-based radionavigation system owned by the United States government and operated by the United States Space Force. Maurizio "Manolo" Zanolla (born in Feltre, 16 February 1958) is an Italian rock climber and mountaineer, and a pioneer of sport climbing in Italy during the 1980s and 1990s. Climbing career Manolo came to international attention with his free solos in the Dolomites. In 1986, he became one of the first Italians to climb a route of grade with ''l'Ultimo Movimento'' in Totoga in the Pale di San Martino. Alessandro Gogna (born 29 July 1946) is a mountaineer, adventurer and mountain guide from Italy. Biography Born in Genoa, Italy, he is one of the key figures of Italian mountaineering, both as an active climber and as one of the foremost writers about the mountain world. He has lived and described the transition from classic mountaineering to modern climbing. The first ascents were on the mountains of his native Liguria.
