Selloi () is a former municipality in the Ioannina regional unit, Epirus, in northwestern Greece Greece, officially the Hellenic Republic, is a country in Southeast Europe. Selloi is in the southwest of the Ioannina regional unit. The municipal unit is subdivided into fifteen communities. The seat of the municipality was in Tyria, a village of the community of Baousioi next to the river Tyria. From there is passing the Via Egnatia Road (A/K of Selli). Ioannina () is one of the regional units of Greece, located in the northwestern part of the country. It is part of the region of Epirus (region), Epirus. Its capital is the city of Ioannina. Dodoni () is a village and a municipality in the Ioannina regional unit, Epirus, Greece. The seat of the municipality is the village Agia Kyriaki (community Theriakisi). Selloi
The Selloi () were an ancient Greek tribe inhabiting Epirus in ancient Greece, in a region between Dodona—site of the oldest reported oracle—and the Achelous river; Aristotle named the area ancient Hellas. A group who were formerly called Graecians and later Hellenes lived there as well. According to Homer, they were priests of the Dodonian Zeus. Classicist and linguist Steve Reece has traced the Homeric name ''Selloi'' Σελλοί back to a historical tribe named ''Helloi'' Ἑλλοί (related to ''Hellas'', ''Hellenes'', etc).
