Selina Freitag
Selina Alma Freitag (born 19 May 2001) is a German ski jumper. She won the overall ranking of the 2016–17 FIS Ski Jumping Alpen Cup, and has competed at World Cup level since the 2018–19 season. Her best individual result is second place, achieved on ten occasions. At the 2019 Nordic Junior World Ski Championships, she won a silver medal in the team event and a bronze medal in the mixed team event. Her brother Richard Freitag Richard "Richi" Freitag (; born 14 August 1991) is a German former ski jumper who competed at World Cup level from 2010 to 2022. Breitenbrunn is a community in the Ore Mountains in the district of Erzgebirgskreis in the Free State of Saxony in Germany. The FIS Nordic Junior and U23 World Ski Championships 2019 took place in Lahti, Finland from 19 January to 27 January 2019. This was the 42nd Junior World Championships and the 14th Under-23 World Championships in nordic skiing. This was the first championship where women compete in nordic combined. Ayane Miyazaki of Japan became the first female junior world champion by winning the normal hill/5 kilometre event on 23 January 2019. Richard "Richi" Freitag (; born 14 August 1991) is a German former ski jumper who competed at World Cup level from 2010 to 2022. He was runner-up in the overall 2017–18 Ski Jumping World Cup, and won the bronze medal at the 2018 Ski Flying World Championships. Career His FIS Ski Jumping World Cup debut took place on 29 December 2009 at the Four Hills Tournament in Oberstdorf, having previously gained success in the Continental Cup. On 3 January 2010, he succeeded in Innsbruck with a 30th place-his first World Cup point. At the FIS Ski-Flying World Championships 2010 in Planica he reached the 28th place in the individual event. The FIS Ski Jumping World Cup is the world's highest level of ski jumping and the FIS Ski Flying World Cup as the subdivisional part of the competition. It was founded by Torbjørn Yggeseth for the 1979/80 season and organized by the International Ski Federation. Women began competing during the 2011/12 season.
