Selami Altınok
Selami Altınok (born 20 January 1966) is a Turkish people, Turkish civil servant and politician who served as the Ministry of the Interior (Turkey), Minister of the Interior in the 2015 interim election government of Turkey, interim election government formed by Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu between 28 August and 17 November 2015. He previously served as the Governor of Aksaray#List of Governors of Aksaray, 10th Governor of Aksaray from 2012 to 2014 and was appointed as the General Directorate of Security (Turkey), General Director of Security in Istanbul on 16 December 2013. He is also a former Kaymakam (sub-governor). Erzurum Province () is a province and metropolitan municipality in the Eastern Anatolia Region of Turkey. Its area is 25,006 km2, and its population is 749,754 (2022). Serik
Serik is a municipality and district of Antalya Province, Turkey. Its area is 1,263 km2, and its population is 139,545 (2022). It is east of the city of Antalya, along the Mediterranean coast. Geography Towards the coast the district is mainly flat farmland, used for growing vegetables, while the inland half of Serik is forested hills and the Taurus Mountains. The district has a typical Mediterranean climate of hot, dry summers and warm, wet winters, and the natural vegetation is dry shrubs. Serik itself is a town of 76,046 people (2022). 2023 Turkish Parliamentary Election
Parliamentary elections were held in Turkey on 14 May 2023, alongside presidential elections, to elect all 600 members of the Grand National Assembly. The incoming members formed the 28th Parliament of Turkey. The elections had originally been scheduled to take place on June 18, but the government moved them forward by a month to avoid coinciding with the university exams, the Hajj pilgrimage and the start of the summer holidays. Prior to the election, the electoral threshold for a party to enter parliament was lowered from 10% to 7% by the ruling party. The elections were contested by a total of 24 political parties. Some parties decided to participate in the elections as part of an electoral alliance, many of which were formed for the previous 2018 election and had been expanded since.
