Seikai No Senki
is a Japanese series of science fiction novels written by Hiroyuki Morioka, which serve as a sequel to ''Crest of the Stars''. Three novels in the series have been adapted into anime. The first series, ''Banner of the Stars#Banner of the Stars, Banner of the Stars'' (13 episodes, a.k.a. ''Seikai no Senki'') was released in 2000 with a recap movie ''Banner of the Stars Special Edition'' following in 2001. That year, ''Banner of the Stars#Banner of the Stars II, Banner of the Stars II'' (10 episodes, a.k.a. ''Seikai no Senki II'') was also released. The third anime series, adapting the third novel, ''Banner of the Stars#Banner of the Stars III, Banner of the Stars III'' (a.k.a. Space opera is a subgenre of science fiction that emphasizes Space warfare in science fiction, space warfare, with use of melodramatic, risk-taking space adventures, relationships, and chivalric romance. Monthly Comic Dengeki Daioh
is a Japanese shōnen manga magazine published by ASCII Media Works (formerly MediaWorks) under the ''Dengeki'' brand. Many manga serialized in ''Dengeki Daioh'' were later published in ''tankōbon'' volumes under ASCII Media Works' Dengeki Comics imprint. The magazine is sold every month on the 27th. A yonkoma section of ''Dengeki Daioh'' called features various omake strips of the manga series published in it. The format is typically a normal drawing on the right side featuring one or sometimes more characters, and a vertical four panel strip on the left featuring characters from the associated series in super deformed form.
