Henry Thomas Segerstrom (April 5, 1923 – February 20, 2015) was a widely recognized and esteemed American philanthropist, entrepreneur, cultural leader, and patron of the arts. Managing Partner of C.J. Segerstrom & Sons, he was the founding chairman of the Orange County Performing Arts Center, now known as the Segerstrom Center for the Arts. Life Henry Thomas Segerstrom was born into a Swedish immigrant family in Santa Ana, California. A farming family, the Segerstroms moved from dairy farming to cultivating alfalfa, eventually specializing in the production and harvesting of lima beans. They would become the largest producers of dried lima beans in the United States. Education In 1939, Henry T. Segerstrom was named valedictorian of Santa Ana High School where he also served as class president. Months later, at age 17 he enrolled in Stanford University. Pontus Segerström
Pontus Segerström (17 February 1981 – 13 October 2014) was a Swedish footballer who played as a defender. He died of a brain tumor, 76 days after his last Allsvenskan game for IF Brommapojkarna, which he played as the captain. Career Segerström started his career at IF Brommapojkarna where he had played football from a young age. He later played for Danish Odense BK during a short period of time in 2004 before moving back to Sweden to play for Landskrona BoIS, first in Allsvenskan for the 2005 season and later in Superettan for the 2006 season. After this period Segerström moved to Norway to play for Stabæk. With the club he won the Tippeligaen title in 2008. After leaving Stabæk he returned home to his first club IF Brommapojkarna. He played for the club in the 2010 Allsvenskan season before the club embarked on two additional seasons in Superettan. His two last seasons at the club was in Allsvenskan in 2013 and 2014. Stina Segerström
Stina Segerström (born 17 June 1982) is a Swedish football defender who last played for Kopparbergs/Göteborg FC and the Swedish national team. She was voted rookie of the year (Sweden) in 2006. She has captained KIF Örebro DFF and Kopparbergs/Göteborg FC. Early life Segerström spent her early years being raised in Vintrosa. As a youth, she spent two years in Pakistan when her family moved there as aid workers for Save the Children.
