Seepage (EP)
''Seepage'' is the second EP by rapper Tech N9ne, and was released on October 25, 2010. The EP consists of five tracks that were written recently after Tech witnessed Krizz Kaliko's breakdown after receiving bad news, and soon after, receiving news that his mother was back in the psych ward. The beats that appear on the EP were purchased by the artist intended for his studio album ''K.O.D.'' but went unused during the sessions. The EP, just like K.O.D. and the Lost Scripts, is broken up into 3 sections: "Anger", "Madness" and "The Hole". Tech N9ne
Aaron Dontez Yates (born November 8, 1971), better known by his stage name Tech N9ne (pronounced "tech nine"), is an American rapper and singer. In 1999, he and business partner Travis O'Guin founded the record label Strange Music. He has sold over two million albums and his music has been featured in film, television, and interactive media. In 2009, he won the Left Field Woodie award at the mtvU Woodie Awards. His stage name originated from the TEC-9 semi-automatic firearm, semi-automatic handgun, a name given to him by rapper Black Walt due to his fast-rhyming Chopper (rap), chopper style. Yates later applied a deeper meaning to the name, stating that it stands for the complete technique of rhyme, with "tech" meaning technique and "nine" representing the number of completion. Horrorcore
Horrorcore (also called shock rap, horror hip hop, horror rap, death hip hop, death rap, or murder rap) is a subgenre of hip hop music based on horror-themed and often darkly transgressive lyrical content and imagery. History In 2009 Skatterman & Snug Brim fulfilled their commitment to Strange Music and left the label. In 2010 Jay Rock signed a multi-album deal with Strange Music. ''The Gates Mixed Plate'' is the tenth studio album by rapper Tech N9ne, which was released on July 27, 2010. It is the third album in the rapper's "Collabos" series, following the 2009 album ''Sickology 101''. The album's name is in reference to the Kansas City Bar-B-Q restaurant Gates Bar-B-Q. The album's first single, "O.G." further references the restaurant. The album has what the artists describes as "lighter music" after the 2009 album, ''K.O.D.'', took a "darker" approach. When speaking on the content of the album, the artist said the album "is full of party tracks because I'm trying to rejoice." Bad Season (mixtape)
''Bad Season'' is the debut mixtape by Tech N9ne released on December 23, 2010, for free digital download. The mixtape was presented by ''XXL Magazine'' and it was hosted by DJ Whoo Kid and DJ Scream. It contains 14 all-new tracks submitted by DJ Whoo Kid for Tech N9ne to rap over without prior knowledge of who produced any of the beats. Also included are three tracks from previous Tech N9ne releases. Dr. Dre, the Haitian Super Heroes (DJ Whoo Kid & Red Spyda), Travis Barker and Cookin Soul were later revealed as producers for the mixtape. The mixtape features guest appearances from Krizz Kaliko, Kutt Calhoun, Jay Rock, Big Scoob, Oobergeek, Irv Da Phenom, Nesto and others. The track "Hard Liquor" was originally by The Game with production by Dr. Dre intended for his '' Doctors Advocate'' album, but it did not make the final track listing. Krizz Kaliko
Samuel William Christopher Watson (born March 7, 1974), better known by his stage name Krizz Kaliko, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and voice actor. He is a longtime collaborator with fellow hometown native Tech N9ne and was signed to Strange Music from its inception in 1999 up to forming his own label Ear House Inc. in 2021. Career Krizz Kaliko began his musical career in the late 1990s when he began working with local producer IcyRoc Kraven. Another local rapper by the name of Tech N9ne was also collaborating with IcyRoc at the time, which led to the two rappers meeting. At the time, Tech N9ne was working on a song titled "Who You Came To See" and Kaliko made a comment that the song could have a better hook.
