Seemless (Into Another Album)
''Seemless'' is Into Another's third full-length album, released on September 12, 1995 on Hollywood Records. Background and recording The band recorded the album at Seattle's London Bridge Studios in Seattle, WA, with producer Rick Parashar who Richie Birkenhead described as "the most down to earth, unpretentious, coolest guy in the world." The band spent three weeks recording the album. In an interview, Birkenhead said, "There are a few layers, like on some songs we have an acoustic guitars, or on "Regarding Earthlings" there is a tamboura way back in the mix. Into Another (band)
Into Another is an American rock band formed in 1990 in New York City. Into Another AllMusic The original lineup consisted of vocalist Richie Birkenhead (formerly of Underdog and Youth of Today), drummer Drew Thomas (formerly of Bold), bassist Tony Bono (formerly of Whiplash) and guitarist Peter Moses. Into Another performed their first show at New York's Pyramid Club, supporting White Zombie. Their song "T.A.I.L." hit No. 39 on the U.S. Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks chart in 1996. The band broke up later that year due to intra-band tensions and a deteriorated relationship with Hollywood Records. Bassist Tony Bono died in May 2002. In 2012, Into Another reunited for the Revelation Records 25th Anniversary shows at The Glasshouse in Pomona, California. London Bridge Studios
London Bridge Studio is a recording studio near Seattle that has hosted and recorded many influential artists, producers and engineers since 1985. Founded by brothers Rick and Raj Parashar and now currently owned by producers Geoff Ott, Jonathan Plum, and Eric Lilavois. The space was designed by notable studio designer Geoff Turner (Little Mountain Studios, Pinewood Studios) and features of tall ceilings, hardwood floors, brick walls and live acoustics. Layout of the studio includes live rooms, a control room, overdub suites, and a lounge with full kitchen. Post-hardcore
Post-hardcore is a punk rock music genre that maintains the aggression and intensity of hardcore punk but emphasizes a greater degree of creative expression. Rick Parashar
Rakesh "Rick" Parashar (December 13, 1963 – August 14, 2014) was an American record producer, recording engineer and musician. Along with his brother Raj, he founded London Bridge Studio in Seattle, Washington, in 1985. During his career he worked with and helped develop many local artists, including Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, Brandi Carlile and My Goodness. Helmed by Parashar's production and recording services, London Bridge became the center of the Seattle music scene. His credits include multi-platinum releases for Temple of the Dog, Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, Blind Melon and Dinosaur Jr. Parashar's projects were not just limited to Seattle artists; in 2001 he produced 3 Doors Down's multi-platinum record '' Away from the Sun'', and was nominated for a Grammy for Nickelback's '' Silver Side Up'', which sold in excess of six million copies. Richie Birkenhead
Richie Birkenhead (born Richard James Birkenhead; August 23, 1965) is an American rock musician and creative director. He was a singer, songwriter and guitarist of late '80s New York hardcore bands Underdog and Youth of Today, and went on in the 1990s to become vocalist for the American rock band, Into Another. Early life In his early teens, while living on the Upper West Side of Manhattan and attending the McBurney School, Birkenhead started a neo-rockabilly band, the Bel-Airs, with members of Buzz and the Flyers and Tav Falco's Panther Burns. Birkenhead was the Bel-Airs' guitarist, songwriter and occasional vocalist. Although they never officially released any recorded material, the band played regularly in many New York venus, including Mudd Club, Peppermint Lounge, Danceteria, The Ritz and CBGB and opened for The Cramps, The Gun Club, The Rockats and Carl Perkins. Wurlitzer Electric Piano
The Wurlitzer electronic piano is an electric piano manufactured and marketed by Wurlitzer from the mid-1950s to mid-1980s. Sound is generated by striking a metal reed with a hammer, which induces an electric current in a pickup. It is conceptually similar to the Rhodes piano, though the sound is different. The instrument was invented by Benjamin Miessner, who had worked on various types of electric pianos since the early 1930s. The first Wurlitzer was manufactured in 1954, and production continued until 1983. Originally, the piano was designed to be used in the classroom, and several dedicated teacher and student instruments were manufactured. However, it was adapted for more conventional live performances, including stage models with attachable legs and console models with built-in frames.
