Seder Moed
Moed (, "Festivals") is the second Order of the Mishnah, the first written recording of the Oral Torah of the Jewish people (also the Tosefta and Talmud). Of the six orders of the Mishna, Moed is the third shortest. Mishnah
The Mishnah or the Mishna (; , from the verb ''šānā'', "to study and review", also "secondary") is the first written collection of the Jewish oral traditions that are known as the Oral Torah. Having been collected in the 3rd century CE, it is the first work of rabbinic literature, written primarily in Mishnaic Hebrew but also partly in Jewish Palestinian Aramaic. The oldest surviving physical fragments of it are from the 6th to 7th centuries. The Mishnah was literary redaction, redacted by Judah ha-Nasi probably in Beit She'arim (Roman-era Jewish village), Beit Shearim or Sepphoris between the ending of the second century CE and the beginning of the third century. Sukkah (Talmud)
Sukkah (, ''hut'') is a tractate of the Mishnah and Talmud. Its laws are discussed as well in the Tosefta and both the Babylonian Talmud and Jerusalem Talmud. In most editions it is the sixth volume of twelve in the Order (Mishnaic section) of Moed. Sukkah deals primarily with laws relating to the Jewish holiday of Sukkot. It has five chapters. The Book of Esther (; ; ), also known in Hebrew as "the Scroll" ("the Megillah"), is a book in the third section (, "Writings") of the Hebrew Bible. It is one of the Five Scrolls () in the Hebrew Bible and later became part of the Christian Old Testament. ''Masekhet Megillah'' () is a tractate in Seder Moed of the Babylonian and Jerusalem Talmuds. It deals with laws and stories relating to Purim, a Jewish holiday originating from the Book of Esther. ''Ta'anit'' or ''Taynis'' () is a volume (or "tractate") of the Mishnah, Tosefta, and both Talmuds. In Judaism these are the basic works of rabbinic literature. Aravah (Sukkot)
Aravah (, pl. aravot - ) is a leafy branch of the willow tree. It is one of the Four Species ( - ) used in a special waving ceremony during the Jewish holiday of Sukkot. The other species are the '' lulav'' ( palm frond), '' hadass'' ( myrtle), and '' etrog'' ( citron). The ''aravah'' is also used for a separate ceremony on Hoshanah Rabbah, the last day of Sukkot, when five branches are beaten against the ground to the accompaniment of special verses. The ''aravah'' tree typically grows by the side of a river, although in Israel it grows wild in many people's backyards. The branches grow long and are lined with long, narrow leaves. Hadass
Hadass (Hebrew: , pl. - ) is a branch of the myrtle tree that forms part of the ''netilat loulav'' used on the Jewish holiday of Sukkot. Hadass is one of the four species ( – ). The others are the ''lulav'' (date palm frond), ''aravah'' (willow), and ''etrog'' (citron). Three ''hadassim'' are incorporated into the Four Species and are bound together with the ''lulav'' and ''aravah''.
