Second Tschentscher Senate
The Second Tschentscher senate is the current state government of Hamburg, sworn in on 10 June 2020 after Peter Tschentscher was elected as First Mayor by the members of the Hamburg Parliament. It is the 30th Senate of Hamburg. It was formed after the 2020 Hamburg state election by the Social Democratic Party (SPD) and Alliance 90/The Greens Alliance 90/The Greens (german: Bündnis 90/Die Grünen, ), often simply referred to as the Greens ( ), is a Green politics, green List of political parties in Germany, political party in Germany. It was formed in 1993 as the merger of The Greens ... (GRÜNE). Excluding the First Mayor, the senate comprises 11 ministers, called Senators. Peter Tschentscher
Peter Tschentscher (born 20 January 1966) is a German politician of the Social Democratic Party (SPD). Since 28 March 2018 he has been the First Mayor of Hamburg. As First Mayor, he is head of the Senate Tschentscher. Since 2008 he has been a member of the Hamburg Parliament. From 2011 until 2018 he served as State Minister of Finance in the first and second governments of Olaf Scholz. Early life and education Tschentscher graduated from high school in Oldenburg in 1985. He later studied medicine and molecular biology at the University of Hamburg, where he received his Doctor of Medicine degree in 1995. From 1994 until 2008 he practised as a physician at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf. Political career Tschentscher joined the Social Democratic Party in 1989. Electoral Threshold
The electoral threshold, or election threshold, is the minimum share of the primary vote that a candidate or political party requires to achieve before they become entitled to representation or additional seats in a legislature. This limit can operate in various ways, e.g. in party-list proportional representation systems where an electoral threshold requires that a party must receive a specified minimum percentage of votes (e.g. 5%), either nationally or in a particular electoral district, to obtain seats in the legislature. Ties Rabe
Ties Rabe (born 14 November 1960) is a German teacher and politician of the Social Democratic Party (SPD). He has been State Minister (''Senator'') for School and Vocational Training of the city state of Hamburg since March 2011 and was previously a member of the Hamburgische Bürgerschaft, the Hamburg Parliament from 2008. Education and early career Rabe was born in Hamburg. After graduating from Wentorf grammar school in 1979 and his civil service in the Bethesda Hospital in Bergedorf, Hamburg, from 1981 to 1989, he trained as a teacher of religion, German language and history. From 1990 to 2002 Rabe was editor and editorial director in the Elbe-Wochenblatt-Verlag. Radio Hamburg is a private commercial radio station based on Hamburg, Germany. Established in the 1980s to play popular music of the time, nowadays it plays hits from the 2000s onwards, on high rotation. Their slogan is ''Mehr Musik, mehr Vielfalt'' (English: "More music, more diversity"). Its services also include hourly news, weather and traffic reports, and its website features a live web stream.
