''In Plain Sight'' is a USA Network drama created by David Maples. Starring Mary McCormack, the series follows Mary Shannon, a Deputy United States Marshal who works at the Albuquerque, New Mexico office of the Federal Witness Security Program (WITSEC). ''In Plain Sight'' is an American drama television series that premiered on the USA Network on June 1, 2008. The series revolves around Mary Shannon (Mary McCormack), a Deputy United States Marshal attached to the Albuquerque, New Mexico office of the Federal Witness Security Program, more commonly known as WITSEC. Shannon must find ways to balance her professional life of protecting witnesses, her professional relationship with her work partner, US Marshal Marshall Mann, and her problematic personal life. The United States Federal Witness Protection Program (WPP), also known as the Witness Security Program or WITSEC, is a witness protection program codified through 18 U.S. Code § 3521 and administered by the United States Department of Justice.
