Sebei
The Sebei are a Southern Nilotic ethnic group inhabiting eastern Uganda. They speak Kupsabiny, a Kalenjin language. The Sapiiny occupy three districts, namely Bukwo, Kween and Kapchorwa. Culture The Sebei people lead a fairly simple life style. The main structures of their lives are centered around cattle keeping, growing crops, and making beer. Common jobs held by the Sebei include cattle rearing and farming. The jobs depend on where you live. Because of their fairly laid back culture, the need for major social structure is limited. Sebei people are relatively peaceful, there are limited criminal offenses that one could do. In Sebei culture, there are two levels of criminal offense. The highest level is for murder and physical assault, the lower level is for property or major civil disputes between people or groups of people. Kupsabiny Language
Kupsabiny (Sabiny), or ''Sebei'', is a Kalenjin language of eastern Uganda. Classification Kupsabiny and a dozen other languages form the Southern Nilotic branch of the Nilotic family. The closest relative of Kupsabiny is Sabaot, spoken across the border in Kenya. Speakers There are about 360,000 people in the world who currently speak the language, most of them being native speakers of it. The number of speakers is currently growing and the language is considered developing. Although the language is spoken primarily by Sebei people, it is taught in many primary schools and even beyond to boost communication levels. Kapchorwa District

Bukwo District is a district in the Eastern Region of Uganda. The town of Bukwo is its main political, administrative, and commercial center and the site of the district headquarters. Kween District is a district in Eastern Uganda. The district headquarters are located at Binyiny, one of the two town councils in the district. Kalenjin People
The Kalenjin are a group of tribes designated as Highland Nilotes and are descended from Maliri people ''(thus related to Daasanach of Ethiopia.)'' The Kalenjin are cousins with Datooga people of Tanzania and Malawi. In contrast, their designation groups them with other Nilotes including Maasai, Luo, Turkana and Nuer, Dinka among others. They are indigenous to East Africa, residing mainly in what was formerly the Rift Valley Province in Kenya and Eastern slopes of Mount Elgon in Uganda. Upon their arrival in the forest region of Mau, the Kalenjin assimilated the aboriginal hunter-gatherer people known as Okiek. Jacob Kiplimo
Jacob Kiplimo (born 14 November 2000) is a Ugandan long-distance runner. He is 2020 Tokyo Olympic 10,000 metres bronze medallist and also won bronze in the event at the 2022 World Athletics Championships. Kiplimo earned gold medals in the 5000 metres and 10,000 m at the 2022 Commonwealth Games. He is the 2020 World Half Marathon champion. On 21 November 2021, Kiplimo set a half marathon world record at 57:31 in Lisbon. At age 15, Kiplimo represented his country at the 2016 Rio Olympics. He was the 2017 IAAF World Cross Country Championship junior champion. In 2019, he became the World Cross Country Championship silver medallist at the age of 18. Nilotic People
The Nilotic peoples are people indigenous to the Nile Valley who speak Nilotic languages. They inhabit South Sudan, Sudan, Ethiopia, Uganda, Kenya, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Rwanda, Burundi and Tanzania. Among these are the Burun-speaking peoples, Karo peoples, Luo peoples, Ateker peoples, Kalenjin peoples, Datooga, Dinka, Nuer, Atwot, Lotuko, and the Maa-speaking peoples. Boniface Toroitich Kiprop (born 12 October 1985 in Kapchorwa District) is a track and field athlete from Uganda. His older brother Martin Toroitich is also a runner, who has featured at the IAAF World Cross Country Championships. Boniface Kiprop is coached by Giuseppe Giambrone and he is actually making part of the Tuscany Training Camp project. Career At the 2001 African Junior Championships in Mauritius, he competed in the 5000 and 10000 metres, finishing 1st and 2nd respectively. Two years later the championships were held in Cameroon, and he won both events. At the 2003 All-Africa Games he finished 4th in 10000 metres and 6th in 5000 metres.
