Sebastián Aguirre (actor)
Sebastián Matías Aguirre Boëda (born 1998) is a Mexican actor. Son of musicians, Aguirre began acting as a child with a screen debut in the short films ''¡Volar!'' and ''La Canción de los Niños Muertos'' (2008). His breakthrough performance was as Julián "Sacramento" Santos in ''Obediencia Perfecta'' (2014) in which he played a victim of sexual abuse by a priest, earning an Ariel Award for Breakthrough Male Performance. He subsequently appeared in another film, '' Güeros'' (2014), for which he also received another Ariel nomination, and the thriller '' Un Monstruo de Mil Cabezas'' (2015), portraying a teenager helping his mother to convince an insurance company to provide a treatment for her husband. A short film is a film with a low running time. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) defines a short film as "an original motion picture that has a running time of not more than 40 minutes including all credits". Other film organizations may use different definitions, however; the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television, for example, currently defines a short film as 45 minutes or less in the case of documentaries, and 59 minutes or less in the case of scripted narrative films (it is not made clear whether this includes closing credits). Rodrigo Plá (born 9 June 1968 in Montevideo, Uruguay) is a Uruguayan screenwriter and director. He is best known for his 2007 film '' La Zona'' (The Zone). Plá studied photography, screenwriting and direction at the Centro de capacitación cinematográfica in Mexico City, where he has lived since he was 9 years old. In 1988 he directed his first short-film.
