Sebastiano Caracciolo
Sebastiano Caracciolo (1922–2013) was an important Mason and Martinist. He served as a member of the administration of the Masonic order Le Droit Humain in Italy, but later devoted himself to the Misraim - Memphis Rite. Martinist
Martinism is a form of Christian mysticism and esoteric Christianity concerned with the fall of the first man, his materialistic state of being, deprived of his own, divine source, and the process of his eventual (if not inevitable) return, called 'Reintegration'. As a mystical tradition, it was first transmitted through a Masonic high-degree system established around 1740 in France by Martinez de Pasqually, and later propagated in different forms by his two students Louis Claude de Saint-Martin and Jean-Baptiste Willermoz. There are many organisations and orders which form part of the widespread fraternity of Freemasonry, each having its own structure and terminology. Le Droit Humain
The International Order of Freemasonry ''Le Droit Humain'' is a global Masonic order, membership of which is available to men and women on equal terms, regardless of nationality, religion or ethnicity. Mizraim (; cf. ) is the Hebrew and Aramaic name for the land of Egypt and its people. A hierophant () is a person who brings religious congregants into the presence of that which is deemed ''holy''. As such, a hierophant is an interpreter of sacred mysteries and arcane principles. The word comes from ancient Greece, where it was constructed from the combination of ' (''ta hiera'', 'the holy') and ' (''phainō'', 'to reveal'). Greek priesthood ''Hierophant'' was the title of the chief priest at the Eleusinian Mysteries in ancient Attica. It was an office inherited within the genos of the Eumolpidae, one of the two main clans which managed the Eleusinian cult - the other being the Cerycids.
