Sebastian Papaiani
Sebastian Papaiani (; 25 August 1936 – 27 September 2016) was a Romanian film and television actor. He was born in Pitești; his father was of Greeks, Greek origin. He graduated from the Caragiale National University of Theatre and Film, Theatrical Arts and Cinematography Institute in 1960, debuting in the Geo Saizescu comedy ''Un surâs în plină vară'' (1963). He has a star on the Walk of Fame Bucharest. In December 2002 he was awarded by then-President of Romania, President Ion Iliescu the National Order of Faithful Service, Knight rank. In 2014, Poșta Română issued a 1.60 Romanian leu, lei stamp in his honor, part of the "Golden Stars of the Stage and Screen" series. His first wife was actress Eugenia Giurgiu, whom he married in 1961; two years later, the two had a son, Sebastian Jr, but they divorced in 1973. ''Ultimul cartuș'' (''The Last Cartridge'', ''The Last Bullet'') is a 1973 Romanian crime film directed by Sergiu Nicolaescu. It is about commissioner Roman, portrayed by Ilarion Ciobanu, who is trying to avenge his partner's death. Gheorghe Vitanidis (1 October 1929 – 25 November 1994) was a Romanian film director. He directed 19 films between 1958 and 1987. His 1969 film ''A Woman for a Season'' was entered into the 6th Moscow International Film Festival. His 1979 film ''The Moment (1979 film), The Moment'' was entered into the 11th Moscow International Film Festival. Born in Mangalia and of Greeks of Romania, Greek descent, he graduated in 1953 from the Caragiale National University of Theatre and Film, I.L. Caragiale Institute of Theatre and Film Arts (IATC) in Bucharest. He made his debut in 1958 as assistant director for ''The Thistles of the Baragan'', a Franco-Romanian film directed by Louis Daquin; the film was nominated for the Palme d'Or, Golden Palm award at the 1958 Cannes Film Festival.
