Sebastian Mila
Sebastian Mila (born 10 July 1982) is a Polish former footballer who played as an attacking midfielder for clubs including; Lechia Gdańsk, Dyskobolia Grodzisk Wielkopolski and Śląsk Wrocław. His longest spell at a club was with Śląsk Wrocław with whom he won the Ekstraklasa and Polish Super Cup. He played for two teams outside of Poland; Austria Wien in Austria, who he won the Austrian Bundesliga with. And had a short spell with Vålerenga in Norway. Mila was an international for the Poland national team getting a total of 38 caps and scoring 8 goals for his national team and was included in the nation's squad for the 2006 FIFA World Cup. I liga ( pl, Pierwsza liga, ), currently named Fortuna I liga due to its sponsorship by Fortuna, is the men's second professional association football division of the Polish football league system, below the Ekstraklasa and above the II liga via promotion/relegation systems. SKS Stoczniowiec Gdańsk is a football club based in Gdańsk, Poland. It spent a large part of its history as Polonia Gdańsk. The club was founded in 1945 and currently plays in the Gdańsk regional divisions. It is best known for its period of success in the 1970s which saw the club play in the Polish cup semifinal and almost achieve promotion to the top flight of Polish football, and for a merger with Lechia Gdańsk creating the Lechia-Polonia Gdańsk team which played between 1998-2002. The 2006 FIFA World Cup, also branded as Germany 2006, was the 18th FIFA World Cup, the quadrennial international football world championship tournament. It was held from 9 June to 9 July 2006 in Germany, which had won the right to host the event in July 2000. Teams representing 198 national football associations from all six populated continents participated in the qualification process which began in September 2003. Thirty-one teams qualified from this process along with hosts Germany for the finals tournament. It was the second time that Germany staged the competition and the first as a unified country along with the former East Germany with Leipzig as a host city (the other was in 1974 in West Germany), and the 10th time that the tournament was held in Europe. The Polish Super Cup (, ) is an annually held match between the champions of the Ekstraklasa and the Polish Cup winners or, if the Ekstraklasa champions also win the Polish Cup, the Cup's runners-up. As of 2021, the Polish Super Cup has been played 31 times. The most successful club is Lech Poznań, who won 6 times. The most common participant are Legia Warsaw, as they played fourteen final games and have lost their eight following finals since 2012. Unlike in Polish Cup, there is no extra time played in the competition, therefore in case of a draw after regular time match goes straight into a penalty shoot-out. Poland Ekstraklasa (), meaning "Extra Class" in Polish, named PKO Ekstraklasa since the 2019–20 season due to its sponsorship by PKO Bank Polski, is the top Polish professional league for men's association football teams. Contested by 18 clubs, operating a system of promotion and relegation with the I liga, seasons start in July, and end in May or June the following year. Teams play a total of 34 games each.
