The 2022 X League season was the inaugural season of the Extreme Football League (commonly known as the XLeague) in the United States. It began in June and concluded in September with the Chicago Blitz winning the inaugural "X Cup" championship game. The league had most recently operated in 2019, branded as the Legends Football League (LFL). Season summary The inaugural X-League season was shortened, with each team's regular season reduced from four games to two. The accesso ShoWare Center is a multi-purpose arena in the Northwestern United States, located in Kent, Washington, a suburb south of Seattle. About the venue Construction began in September 2007, and the venue opened in January 2009. The principal tenants are the Seattle Thunderbirds of the Western Hockey League (WHL) and the Tacoma Stars of the Major Arena Soccer League (MASL). Naming rights to the arena were initially sold to Amiga, Inc. and the arena was to be called the "Amiga Center". However, Amiga failed to make a promised down payment, and lost the naming rights as of August 2007. Seattle Mist
The Seattle Mist were a team in the Legends Football League that were founded as part of the Lingerie Bowl's expansion into a full-fledged league in 2009. They played their home games at the ShoWare Center in Kent, Washington. The league, originally named the Lingerie Football League, rebranded in 2013 and shifted away from Super Bowl halftime shows.
