Sean Scott (volleyball)
Sean Scott (born June 29, 1973) is a retired American professional beach volleyball player. Career Scott started playing beach volleyball professionally in 1997 after playing collegiately at the University of Hawaiʻi from 1992 to 1995. He joined the Association of Volleyball Professionals Tour shortly afterwards and was named the 1999 AVP Tour Rookie of the Year. Stein Metzger
Stein Metzger (born November 17, 1972, in Honolulu, Hawaii) is a male beach volleyball player from the United States. He played college men's indoor volleyball at UCLA where he won 3 NCAA National championships under legendary coach Al Scates. Metzger competed in the AVP. In 2006 he played with his high school teammate, Mike Lambert, and they advanced to the Final Four in fourteen of the fifteen team events, winning five times. They formed the only team to not have a losing record against any other team that season. Metzger made his Olympic beach volleyball debut at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece, where he and partner Dax Holdren finished fifth, after having won the silver medal the previous year at the 2003 Beach Volleyball World Championships in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Sinjin Smith
Christopher St. John "Sinjin" Smith (born May 7, 1957, in Santa Monica, California) is a professional beach volleyball player. He won one U.S. championship and two World championships with Randy Stoklos. He began to compete as a professional in the two man beach volleyball tournaments of Southern California at age fifteen. He went to college at UCLA, where he played setter and outside hitter in head coach Al Scates' 6-2 system. The UCLA Bruins won the national championship in Smith's freshman year. The following year the Bruins did not make the final four, but as a junior the team again reached the finals before losing to Pepperdine. Smith was selected to the all tournament team. In his senior year in 1979 the Bruins again reached the finals, defeating cross town rival USC to win the national championship. Todd Jonathan Rogers (born September 30, 1973) is an American professional beach volleyball player who is an Olympic and FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championship gold medalist. He and his former partner, Phil Dalhausser, were the 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011 AVP Tour champions. Michael Lambert (volleyball)
Michael Allen Lambert (born April 14, 1974, in Honolulu, Hawaii) is an American volleyball player, who was a member of the United States men's national volleyball team that finished in ninth place at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia and eleventh at the 2000 Olympics. Lambert was born in Kaneohe, Hawaii. He went to Punahou School along with Stein Metzger. His subsequent partnership with Metzger in the AVP resulted in 9 titles. Dax Holdren (born September 4, 1972 in Santa Barbara, California) is an American professional male beach volleyball player. Holdren is currently on the AVP tour playing with Jeff Nygaard. John Hyden
John Hyden (born October 7, 1972, in Tustin, California) is an American volleyball and beach volleyball player. Raised in San Diego, California, where he attended Mt. Carmel High School, Hyden was a member of the United States men's national volleyball team that finished in ninth place at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia. A 2-time All American at San Diego State University he was named to 1995 World Cup team and played as an outside hitter. At the 2000 Summer Olympics he finished in 11th place with ''Team USA''. The FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour (known between 2003 and 2012 as the FIVB Beach Volleyball Swatch World Tour for sponsorship reasons) was the worldwide professional beach volleyball tour for both men and women organized by the ' ( FIVB), the sport's global governing body. The World Tour was introduced 1989 for men and in 1992 for women being held yearly since then until 2021. Several tournaments were staged throughout the year.
